Markov is certainly better but I am happy MB didnt handcuff himself with Markov at 5-6mil per year for 2+ years. It will be an interesting season to be certain, the team looks likely to finish at the playoff cusp and then the pressure will be all on Price.

Markov is certainly better but I am happy MB didnt handcuff himself with Markov at 5-6mil per year for 2+ years. It will be an interesting season to be certain, the team looks likely to finish at the playoff cusp and then the pressure will be all on Price.

B) Markov isnt coming back (Thanks Markie for the good times )
C) they will take the rest of the cap space for a center

They do have like 8.25 million or so in cap space available at the moment. Granted they will need to ensure about 5 of that is free for next season when Pacioretty resigns at 9+/year...

The point is with Drouin, Jerabek, and Streit in and Radulov and Markov out, they 're equivalent to last year's team unless you're naive enough to believe Bergevin has an ace up his sleeve (though I have been wrong before).

I gotta admit it's 5M less than Markov, but it's less production too.

That said, always loved Streit and letting him go to UFA years ago was a huge mistake, and I will cheer for him.
