I just can't wrap my brain around how he is able to split his mind like that to play both rhythm melody and chords like that all at the same time.

The human brain is amazing

Chet Atkins is his main influence and that guy was just as baddass,,,,

lol

Seems Discovery knows how to grow the shark game. Maybe the NHL should hire those folks.

I question the intelligence of those who thought it might be possible for a human to outswim a shark in a race.

He tunes his guitar to something ridiculous like an Eb so his hand doesn't move too much because of his carpal tunnel. Pretty interesting.

Might not be an Eb but it's definitely something whacky

- Giroux_Is_God

Eb is pretty darn normal. Hendrix and Slash pretty much exclusively played in it. Contain did a decent amount too. Honestly I will change it to Eb and just leave it there half the time. I like the sound and bends are easier.

I want you to now refer to me as DADGAD btw.

To be fair, they gave him a ridiculously unfair advantage and he still lost. They put a (frank)ing fin on the guy and some special wetsuit. If it were actually a race of just him in a bathing suit against a shark, he'd get annihilated.

Just to reiterate: Roger Waters is such an asshat his face is being dissolved by his own stomach acid. Go Thom Yorke and Radiohead for giving him and his kind the business after he had a poop fit that they were going to play concerts in Israel.

But I still love Pink Floyd, and Gilmour is on my Mount Rushmore of personal favorites.

Tough one, but here are 10 of my personal faves in no particular order:

Ain't Talkin' Bout Love
Mean Streets
Unchained
Women in Love
Atomic Punk
You Really Got Me (yeah, it's a cover, but it kicks ass!)
Ice Cream Man
Everybody Want's Some
So This Is Love
Running With the Devil

As you can see, I prefer the early days with the original lineup. IMO, everything from Diver Down on was pop crap.

I saw Van Halen right before first album hit at of all places Magic Mountain in Valencia CA summer 77. They played alot of parties mid 75-76 in pasadena but i was only in 5-6th grade bummer.

Next year will incorporate the following digitally-rendered handicaps:

Shark will be caught in a tuna net
Shark will be harpooned during the race
Shark will have to navigate an Exxon-Valdez-esque oil spill
Phelps will be on a jetski

For their next idea, perhaps a skating match race between Matthew Strome and Peggy Flemming.

RE Goalies:

I'm hoping Stolarz(mainly) or Lyon push for the NHL back up spot as the season goes on and force Hexy to trade Neuvy around the deadline. As it's been repeated for a while, time to see what we have in Stolarz. And I'd hope both their 1 year deals motivate them to do so.

I was always wondering why he was "2thePoint." Seeing as Streit played the point, shouldn't it have been "StreitAtThePoint" or "StreitFromThePoint?"
