Now...from a talent/technical standpoint alone: EVH or Slash? Is it even close?

Two different kinds of players. Both great.

But lets just say that I am a pretty accomplished guitar player and can play the Slash stuff more easily than the VH stuff.

Nah, it's not close. EVH is the much better technical player. Very few guys are on his level. A few that are/were would be:

Jimi Hendrix
Jeff Beck
Alex Lifeson
Steve Howe
Randy Rhoads
Robert Fripp
Joe Satriani
Yngwie Malmsteen
Joe Bonnamassa

There are probably a few others, but those were off the top of my head.

I'm surprised Randy Rhodes made the list and Clapton didn't. In my household, Clapton was considered the best ever. I always saw Rhodes as good, but not on the top pedestal.

What is your timetable for Hart or Sandstrom to be on the Flyers roster?

Do you think either Lyon or Stolarz will be moved by next summer to make room for Hart?

It Sandstrom signs his ELC this summer but there's a European assignment clause in it, then he can keep playing in the SHL and the goalies for 18-19 could be:

Flyers: Elliott & Stolarz with Neuvirth traded

Phantoms: Hart and Lyon (who will still be waiver exempt)

Those Clapton and Page guys are decent.
It's really a shame that Hendrix left the Earth at 27, to think of everything he would have done in the last 45+ years. It's amazing someone can be recognized universally as the best when they had a shelf life of about 5 years.

I know humanity is kind of swirling down the toilet at this point, but the trend of girls wearing less and less at the beach each year is a trend I can get behind. I think female swimwear is at an all time high. This will most likely all change if/when I have a daughter.

I'd like to see a Network sitcom today like All in the Family. I wonder why we don't. Surely it's not because anyone is worried about offending some steaming pile of poop.

Definitely does. I have a tiny 3-year-old girl with long blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes. I need to stock up on ammo ASAP.

Also, keep in mind that some of those 18-year-olds that you see down at the beach may actually be 13.

It's not up to them. Stolarz will have to pass thru waivers to get to the AHL in 18-19.

Completely subjective I know but I thought For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge was a fantastic album.

I think both are on 1 year deals. If they are not moving up, they are moving out. Not sure how big a market Hexy will find for a goalie that HE doesn't think is good enough.
What does a minor league goalie bring. I seriously don't know what that market is now. There are lots young guys breaking into the league. It's hard to say who the next really good one will be. Also have a lot of guys getting starting gigs after being back ups for years. it's the hardest position to predict for sure.

Clapton is an absolutely amazing blues guitarist, but he rarely branches out from that. The others, IMO, were able to incorporate more types of styles in their playing. RE Rhoades, go back and listen. He was simply amazing, you can hear his classical training in his playing and he could shred with the best of them. True story: he hated playing the old Sabbath songs because he found them simplistic and too boring to play.
