And you for Gerardi
- nyisles7

McDonagh - Shattenkirk
Skjei - Smith
Holden - DeAngelo
Day - Pionk
Staal - Berzegelov
Pedrie - Graves

The rangers have like 6 full defensive pairings better than the Islanders 2nd pairing

The first one yes. 2nd one, MAYBE. Other than that, none of those other pairs beat deHaan - Pulock.

DM, this guy is the biggest ( 5ft 2 inch ) Shat head and it's better just to ignore him as Upstate said.

Could this signing be a precursor to a move? Maybe packaging a defenseman for another player?

Cpt. I hate Snow but this deal isn't bad. 1.6 for 4 years and coming off the deal still being an RFA, this isn't a deal that's going to hurt you as far as the Cap imho.

Take a look at this team and CC, Cal, Boychuck and Ladds contracts are going to put this team in Cap phucking hell.

- nyisles7

Last sentence kind of proves my point. Snow is done for this season this is your team and you have Pelech for another 4 years

If so who goes? Dehaan leddy and boychuk can't be moved and pulock would need to be the piece. They protected pelach in the draft so it's hard to say but idt anyone is going anywhere

Why can't de Haan be moved? If they wait till after he signs or goes to arbitration and gets an award, he can be moved then.

Our defense would be more frightening then it already is. Snow has kind of once again painted himself into a corner.

Oh I def think the CDH contract will be the last thing Snow does to this team this off season. Hopefully he can get a contract done with CDH and they don't need arbitration. Never said anything but this.
I hate Snow and can't wait till he's gone.

But getting to my original point, the Pelech contract isn't a bad one, nor does it cause us cap issues.

100 % agree CDH can't be moved after he is signed.

Snow just sucks and it always comes back to that

Correct and he was arguably our best d man last year. He doesn't put up a ton of points but he blocks shots hits and is in position a lot. If we trade him it's 2 55 14 as your top 3 with pelach pulock mayfield and seidenberg rounding it out and that's way to much inexperience

On top of that JB and RP have been injury prone the last couple years.

I really don't see any more moves cause of the d, I'm ok if they play well but there are way too many if and or buts involved
