Don't think that would fly. I'm sure many teams would love to have Poiliot in their system but with the Flames he will probably get leap frogged pretty quick. It is going to be a fierce battle in camp for those #6 & 7 D positions between Kulak, Kylington, Andersson & Valimaki making noise noise about cracking the lineup. Not to mention Healey may surprise a few in camp. So the need for Poiliot doesn't give him the same trade value with us. Hornqvist for Bennett would be a bad return, the kid just turned 21 recently & many expect Tkachuk to be paired up with him next year & we are hoping for a breakout year from him. The 1st is too late as we expect your team to be at least 2nd round playoffs next year & probably top 4 seeded in the East. So sorry, we will have to pass on that offer. Now if you want Stajan, we may be able to accommodate you.

Hornqvist is currently better than Bennett . Bennett might never realize his once perceived potential. OF course, you may not be interested in winning now, so might as well take your chances with Bennett.

With Ekblads concussions, sam Reinharts sucking and the emergence of Pastrnak and Nylander, Bennett might still be the best player picked at #4.

Being that he's a year from UFA, NFW. I am intrigued by him as a UFA but as long as we're paying Brouwer (and Frolik), I can't see Calgary having the cap space to throw at another RW.

Well it isn't now or never. The Malarkey about needing to do it while Gio Is still a stud is just that, Dougie will get better as Gio declines, lots of kids in the pipeline and a young forwards core. CAlgary will be better in 2020 than they are now if you have a great goalie.

Brodie, Hamonic and Stone all 29-30 and concluding pretty reasonable deals that year. God knows if we still have Backlund by then.

Iginla & Doan playing in the Olympics would probably get me a little more interested. If they don't get a contract this summer that could be a nice way to see them end their careers.
