Proved a lot against the Ducks this playoffs. On line with McDavid: getting to the net and keeping his stick on the ice helped his production endlessly this year; same with Lucic. Teams will learn to cut off the option and let the first forward back catch up to McD once he has no option, drops a step, and drives the net on his own.

It took three years to solve Ovie's game and pin a man to him on the powerplay. The meta will catch up to McDavid beating the outside and passing just passed the hashmarks.

If we can get Bennett signed at a reasonable cap hit then I'd still like us to take a shot on Jagr. Maybe management thinks they've already addressed our top 9 and don't want the Jags though...

It's July, man. Stirring the pot is one way to get conversations about hockey going. It's just unfortunate when people resort to name-calling. I've never been so offended.

If Calgary can beat Anaheim in Anaheim this year, it'd obviously go a long way to those standings coming to fruition.

As long as 97 is playing for Edmonton, I think they're the favorites to win the division.

Would you make the above trades? One for one? True indication of who the better player is, is would you trade one for one - discard salaries as a factor - for this purpose.

That's 4-3 Flames IMO. If salaries are considered (like they are in the real world) then Edm wins on McD still and on Jok - but that's it IMO.
