It is kind of funny, I think Tom could say good morning and people would go after him. Like Pavlov's dog now.

I actually was thinking the same thing along what Tom said. I'm happy Zib is signed but why go through all this if the agreed is closer to what Zib was looking for.

Also get what Pete was saying, but shouldn't the price have went a little lower since it was a 5 year deal.

the price would have been lower if it was short term, the Rangers bought a couple of his UFA years, that's why it goes higher

Hopefully we sign Thornton at the deadline.

What's happening between you and your beloved NYR then, Burton?

- 21peter

Sharks would have to buy him out at the deadline. You saying they are going to eat 8 million dollar cap hit? I doubt it. Brush up boi.

I thought it was always the opposite.

Longer term less dollars.

not when the guy is 24 and you want to take away his ability to be a UFA when he is 27

Sort of like the Rangers trying to trade Marc Staal, via you.
- tomburton99

I don't think I ever said we were trading Staal. I said we should do everything we can whenever he submits his 15 team list next summer to trade him rather than buy him out including retaining salary. Once again fake news.

1$ in cap space now is more than 1$ come the deadline, remember...

The Rangers settled on Z's number. There was no need for this to even go to an arbitrator's desks. They just loved to make their RFA's dangle in the wind

The Rangers can only "sign" ( your word you used) him if the Sharks buy him out.

You know they have those nudist developments in FL. Its very hot and humid 3/4 of the year down there. Talk about dangling in the wind.

You are being purposefully miserable. That's really the only way to explain it. Either that, or you've killed some brain cells, and I don't think that's happened.
