Hey Bill thanks for everything. If you could pick one dark horse prospect that doesn't get the attention but you think could be a future Flyer who would you pick right now? Maybe one Defense and one Forward?
I would go with Allison for the forwards and Friedman for the defense. - VilleLeinoShow
If you include AHL, Vorobyev and Friedman.
If only players not at least in AHL yet, Laczynski and Högberg.

why Kimbi daniels never made it to the nhl. - rinaldo
He did briefly play in the NHL. Had some personal issues that held him back.

I lived in Russia saw him play midgets he was awesome!
Dominated other 8 year olds.
Why does seeing him play mean? Does it mean that no opinion or statement can be made unless you see them play?
Ask more questions they are always so well thought out. - Konalover
Well if your saw him play midgets then he wasn't 8 years old. So me thinks your telling a fib.
Not at all, why you getting so defensive when he was asked a simple question? |

Dude, how can you say Bobby Orr was any good unless you've seen him play? Did you ever watch Bobby Orr play often? Or Wayne Gretzky during the early 80s? DID YOU!?!? - jmatchett383
Orr, no. Gretzky, yes.
Orr is overrated. |

Bill does Alt have any shot to take over Mannings role as a 7th dman? Or is he pretty much going to be a teacher so to speak for the AHL team? |

They waive them and demote them to the AHL.
I know you're just being an "our defense sucks" jackass, but there's little chance Myers makes the team unless he blows them away in camp/preseason. - jmatchett383
Not being a "our defense sucks" "jackass" at all. Myers was a late cut last year at camp. I watched Sanheim a few games in Hershey last year and his play along with Laughton's stood out. Hexy has said there are spots to be earned by the rookies. Morin and Hagg, from what I've read, are the frontrunners. Why so snippy? |

Sorry if I took it the wrong way. Just a lot of people on here that act like the Flyers are the only team with bad/overpaid players on their team, or have vets blocking younger players.
Still, I don't think Myers makes the team with zero pro experience, and I don't see 3 of Morin/Hagg/Sanheim making it either. That would be 5 out of your starting 6 with less than 3 years of combined NHL experience. |

He hasnt put on his reading glasses yet and he confused "riverfly" with "rinaldo". Easy mistake to make. He'll apologize later. |

No problem....I know it's far fetched to have that many rookies on defense and would probably be a disaster, but if they outplay Amac and Manning in camp, it would make for an interesting decision from Hextall. Personally, I can't wait for camp to start. It's going to be really fun to watch things shake out for next year on defense and offense. |

Gee I don't know, seeing one play may give you more insight to his game instead of just looking at his stats and bio. Maybe just maybe one can form an opinion by watching someone play. I get that is a little outlandish.
as for the price of tea in china, not sure. Though the dukes are trying to corner the frozen orange juice market. |

It will be interesting for sure. If they play well enough to force Hextall into having to move some players, that's a good thing for the Flyers. If Sanheim doesn't make the team in camp, he's not far away. I'll go out on a limb and say that Sanheim is a better player than Manning is, but they won't put Sanheim in a part time 6/7 role, and they aren't likely to play a rookie in the role that MacDonald will likely be in. Provorov was an exception. |

I can realistically see 2 of them (likely Morin and Hagg) making it. I think they want Myers to have some pro experience before making the jump (plus he hasn't played a full season the last 2 years due to concussions), and I think they still want to see Sanheim play a better all-around game before making him a fixture on the D. But if all 3 play so well that they can't be sent down, then all the better. |
