It wasn't about downplaying the list. The list was pretty much a joke, it was sarcasm. You turned it into something real.

To answer your question most of those things I listed aren't attainable for the team.

As for the leafs. Pretty simple, they had a bunch of players who were ripening in the minors. Added in 3 elite hockey players to a core that they had been building for the past 9 years.

Yes JB gives Green the players but its up to Green how he deploys them. Even then with good communication between them I still think its a group decision.
