I'm so stoked for the new season. The last time I was looking forward to a Leafs season instead of cringing while wishful thinking was during the Sundin/Quinn era.

I'm really excited about the fact that the team, with so many rookies, got better as last season went along. I remember down the stretch drive during critical games, I would be thinking oh here we go, they notoriously haven't held leads all season. Then they started to close out those games. Remember when they finally got an empty net goal, and it was like a turning point lol...never has there been a team that needed some critical (frank)ing empty net goals.

Fitting that the playoffs were clinched on AM's ENG for 40.

Then I think about how both Marner and Nylander played a playoff round, then were both standouts at the WC.

They were just getting started last year. And no way they leave that many points on the table in OT this year.

Oh yeah, and Patrick Marleau plays for them now.

Man, I'm psyched! I'm playing drinking games with the Blue and White Kool Aid now! Doing flare bartending with that poop. WOOOOO! Let's go Buds!

Oh in case anyone felt like pointing it out yes I'm aware they aren't gonna get so lucky with injuries again, guys could slump, Marleau could lose it and become an albatross, all the other teams got better, the Leafs and the big 3 rookies won't surprise anyone this year, the D sucks, Martin/Hyman/whoever shouldn't be playing because Sosh/Leivo/prospect X is so much better...I'm sure I missed a bunch of stuff.

Laine will destroy Matthews for goals and points this year. Brown sucks. Kadri sucks. Lou hasn't fixed the D yet!

Bozak sucks. Gardiner sucks.

This guy or that guy who's on the Marlies or in the pressbox, we're destroying him by not giving him ice time, he should be playing. That's gonna get said a zillion times this year. That's a good sign.
