I know Winnik's stint with the Pens was lackluster, but that also with a different coach and a different system.

I wouldn't be opposed to the Pens attempting a 1yr contract for him to be 3C.

Because he's played more LW as of late. He's a solid defensive player that brings an edge. He's a good 3rd line player.
