I read today he wanted to do it without a cage or something? I believe a shark can top out at 25 mph. Good luck with that Phelps

He is going to use flippers

edit: He meaning Phelps, the shark will be using fins

Unless the shark has to use flippers too, it's rigged.

There's a number of factors involved. It's not as if NJ was taking on dead cap weight. I think the Blues overpaid for Schenn which was the only reason they were able to acquire him in my opinion. I believe that Washington made a terrible deal in the return they received for Johansson.
- MJL

Their GM really crippled under the threat of losing Kuznetsov to the KHL. Even to admit that being one of the reasons he made the trade in his presser was a terrible decision. Poor planning of a crucial off season for them. Even if they intended to trade Johansen to the highest bidder. Why wouldn't they do it before the expansion draft? Could've protected the promising young Dman they lost instead of protecting guys like Eller and Wilson.

In that sense it would be like getting a 2nd and 3rd for nate schmidt. Either way, I dont think he has done a good job with the hand he was dealt

I'm not saying Johansen should've been exposed. He should've been traded before the expansion draft is my point. Hard to imagine the return he got wasn't available until after free agency opened. Though maybe that was the case with the way he put himself over a barrel with the Oshie contract and reluctance to buy Brooks Orpik out.

I wonder if Simmonds would sign like a short, high AAV extension? If I were Ronny I would push hard for it. They have the cap space to start limiting the risk of signing older players for too long.

Or a lot of people when you don't name who you are thinking of automatically default to the tendency of past posts.

I know I fall into that trap every now and then.

The originally post was about Filppula, so I responded accordingly. Somehow BiggE got it in his head I meant Patrick, who nobody is either post named.

Now before Filppula got here, I didn't watch him much in Tampa but I assume he replaced Vinny at center. Which means if he ever played LW, it was a million years ago in Detroit.

This was the point I was making, for those who need a picture painted for them.
