Dunno.
But only 16 Fs had 70+ points last year. You really think MZ is on that level? - Feds91Stammer
I have to agree with nyrangers9479, watching Zib since he's been here I believe he can surpass 60pts by several. So, yeah I would have to say that he will compare to some of those guys.
My vote was for 5 years at 5 per, btw. |

Maybe he never gets to 70, but hopefully he can be around 65. - rangerdanger94
I'd be thrilled if he could become a consistent 65 point guy with a few 70 point seasons tossed in there. |

I gotta agree with you here. I voted 5 x 4.75.
I think Zib is a high 50s to mid 60s pts player on average. He's got the potential to hit 70s for sure I just don't see him doing it consistently (hopefully I'm wrong). Even with those projections though it still puts him in the top 20 for centers, which I think is well worth 4.75 throughout his prime years. |

He's going to get over 5 for sure. If he gets under 5 mil a season I'd be shocked |

Admittedly I was voting with my heart but I think anything 5 x 5.25 or less is a good deal |

If I'm Zibanejad, I try to do a 1 year deal for 4.5mm or so and try to prove I'm a 6mm+ player by having a good year |

That's y I say just give him a 7 year deal now. So he does 1 year then puts up 65 points let's say and now wants 5 years at 6.5. It's a "6" year contract just broken up differently. Give him the term and keep him around 5.25. |

In this day of today's NHL, it's foolish to sign non-elite players to contracts you can't trade away in case things do not work out and the team either rebuilds in the off-season or sells at the trade deadline. Zib is good. He is good for four years at 4.5M (to maybe 5M) AAV. |

5 years 5M per year! If he is not happy a 1 year bridge deal 4.25M and trade him to Colorado and get Duchene or McKinnon obviously we would need to add some pieces to that but we need a true number one center it has been our downfall for years!!!! |

it's amazing, I think every day I read about McKinnon and Duchene at least 20 times
Colorado scored 166 goals last year, one of the worst offensive seasons any team has had in recent memory
In a down year, Stepan had more points than both of them
If Duchene and McKinnon are indeed "bonafide #1 centers" and I am not saying they aren't, what the hell happened last year? |

I'm not going to deny, i'm actually excited for this season. If only to see a properly functioning power play... when that crashes and burns though, i'll drink heavily or just force the bantams i coach to skate a bunch more |

Hard to believe that McKinnon has already played four years in the NHL. We know he's good, but it's getting to the point that he needs to prove he's elite in order to be considered in that class. Cleared 60 points in his rookie year and hasn't done so since.
