I dont agree with having Nuge on Mcd's wing but I would like to see him get more time on the number one PP with McD. Everytime he got that opportunity he produced. Drai and Lucic had their numbers greatly inflated by getting that opportunity. Nuge didn't.

TO be fair lucic has put up similar totals to this season numerous times. Pretty much a career avg actually. So it's not like it's all Mcdavid. He was down 5v5 scoring (even with Connor) and up in pp Scoring


considering all of the things we got him for and that he delivered;
experience, leadership, size, intimidation, point totals, playoff run etc etc, his first season was nothing short of a homerun imo. The haters predict that'll change and maybe it will. But as of now, it was a quality signing

Let's completely ignore that Caggiula had the lowest P/60 of any player who played more than 20 games (yes even lower than Pouliot). Also we should have kept Desharnais because he scored that one game winner and now is officially "clutch."

Definitely agree that Letestu is overhyped from his PP totals (he was shooting at 18%).

I will say the team needed someone to step up and be a right shot on the PP that could actually hit the net so kudos for to him for taking advantage. I think we might see Strome put in that spot this year. Aside from that I think he's an above average 4th line centre. 16 points at even strength is decent and his own shooting percentage was down from his average. He's also the only person on this team who can win a (frank)ing faceoff consistently.

I meant his career average totals were down in contrast to what they've been with krejci or his regular line mates in Boston over his career.
Essentially, we can't just say his totals overall were all due to connor when he's pretty much replicated 50ish avg through his career regardless
