The ones he picked prior to the year's draft or just this year?

Demko is probably the closest thing to a slam dunk so far but goalies are voodoo and we won't know for another 5 years. I know someone will bring up Boeser but I need to see more before I label him the top line talent that some project him as.

Virtanen, McCann, Tryamkin, Forsling, Demko all were considered great picks and now we have a fatty, a entitled ass, a baby, and nothing.

Sounds like Lefty's first marriage...amiright?

Okay will give you benefit of doubt this isn't to pull my leg.

I'm no spring chicken but pump and dump is a universally used hockey phrase for building up a player to trade them.

Throwing shade is out of the urban lexicon

I thought both were fairly straight forward.

I wonder if for your message to reach others would be better in the form of emojis or a Dr. Suess rhyme

They still are great picks. Virtanen is in ripped and ready to go mode. McCann got us Guddy. Tryamkin will return improved to take on greater role and better contract. Demko is on track. Forsling was moved for a different need that didn't work out.

A lot of the prospects had major holes in their games, most never got over them. Seems that most of the players that JB has picked have a better all around game in junior.

This is true. Turris is also a complete liability on defence, always has been. I would prefer Kane to Turris, he's an above average offensive center who sucks in faceoffs and defensively. Pass.
- neem55

How can you say it's true to the statement that Kane will be in prison. Then turn around saying you want to sign him

Turris, as Vantel has brought up also, is a stop gap free asset to retire Hank. Allow EP to develop under him as buffer.

I think Demko will be like Murray. He will come in young and be solid young.

I dunno, I am still not a fan. Hockey nicknames in general are awful, so having it brought up more often is painful to me. Like when the Canuck locker room nicknames were leaked and people started referring to Bieksa as Juice, Edler as Eagle, Hansen as Honey Badger etc. just cringe worthy to hear people outside the circle say those names
- WhiteLie

I use nicknames because of laziness but not on any players with a short name obviously.

I love the kiddies table.

Where is Zogg, he is at the head of the table.

can we have another children's table/room in the back enclosed in glass?

Milli Vanilli at Parlee Beach, New Brunswick was awesome, or I think it was. Alcool or whatever that 100 proof stuff was made it a blur.

Thanks Carol, I guess I'm a bit surprised Bure would be number 4, but that guy could sure electrify any game he played in.
- Makita

Homer or not but hard pressed to say anyone was ever as electrifying like the Russian Rocket in full flight. I doubt opposing fans were not in awe.

Brock Boeser is a really interesting piece for the future, If he scores 20 goals next season I will feel a lot better about the next 10 years!

Another great article Carol, I have to say it's impressive to see you still producing a quality and interesting blog every day, when most hockey people have shut down for the summer. Huzzah!

At least you were able to find a way to respond. I just keep shaking my head at all the whining that went on.

It's not everyones dream to play in the NHL. Players get traded. Players take different paths. It's the nature of the sport.

Crazy enough all 4 of those players are in the top 30 in scoring in that draft. Tree will eventually fall out but if the others continue to play, that would look to be another draft win for JB even though 3/4 of the players don't play for Van anymore.
