Picture a slightly smaller, 27 year old Ben Eager who has been playing injured for two straight years and at some point lost his game in that time.

He can still throw a big hit and block shots. He just fell on hard times here in Calgary. Ended on a hilariously unfortunate note this last playoffs.

Doobie is a very talented player! This year should define how far he can come! He's 2 years removed from the draft and should be a fixture on the Canadian wj team! He'll get tons of ice and played in all situation in K Town! My bet is he 3 years away only cause I want him playing for the Rockets 2 more years!

The dude was abused as a child. He just never found a way to deal with it in his life. I agree it was the cowardly way out, especially with 6 children, but that crap messes with you your whole life.

I agree. I don't make light of whatever mental trauma he went through....I just hated his music. It was hugely popular and I never understood why. .

At 1,000,000 he's still overpaid. Big body who can skate but brings next to no offense. He will definitely block shots and sacrifice his body. He was well liked here until he got lucky and scored 17 goals and got paid way too much.

His Super Bowl antics with the 2 young guns also kinda put a stain on him. I imagine he will play much better this year now that he needs a contract next year. Good riddance.
