Drug addiction is just all about power of will. That's why when the US increased prison sentences for drug abuses, it solved everything. - PhillySportsGuy
Having been sober for something over 20 years, and been through some sh*t along the way, I have to say... the edgy attitudes displayed by some are.... like.. wow, man. Just wow. |

Good work getting clean. You put on your work boots and dug yourself out of a horrible situation which was also well within your control.

FWIW, here is my ranking of the Flyers top 20 prospects. It's based partially on what I think their top ceiling is and also on how NHL ready they are and how likely they will play in the NHL. What I really liked about making up this list, was that there was roughly half dozen or so guys that I think are good, solid prospects that didn't even make the list. The organizational depth is outstanding!
1. Patrick C
2. Sanheim D
3. Myers D
4. Rubtsov C/W
5. Lindblom W
6. Morin D
7. Hagg D
8. Sandstrom G
9. Hart G
10. Vecchione C
11. Stolarz G
12. Leier W
13. Frost C/W
14. Allison W
15. Friedman D
16. Ratcliffe W
17. Twarynski W
18. Lyon G
19. Bunnaman C
20. Vorobyev C
Other 6 that almost made the list: Ustimenko, Aube-Kubel, Fazleev, Laberge, Marody, and Laczynski - BiggE
I am late to comment, but whne your 27th overall pick from your most recent draft is your 13th rated prospect that alone speaks to the depth. A few years ago laughton or morin instantly became a top 3 prospect in the system. I am very happy with where they are at.

It's amazing that so many here have grown up in such privilege that they've never actually felt the need to explore these types of things. Or just a general lack of intellectual curiosity, which seems to be dying by the day. |

The really appalling thing is his willingness to assume that direct personal experience (many years of it at that) carries less weight than his own untested opinion. Oh, but I'm sure I'm just a precious snowflake who is looking for positive reinforcement and a pat on the back. |

Eh..Im 44 and have never had a beer, never touched a cigarette , haven't been drunk and couldnt tell you what an actual non-prescription drug looks like in person.
That has always been my choice , like many of my close friends, and that has nothing to do with privilege or a lack of intellectual curiosity. |

Nah you misunderstood him, I think (?). He didn't mean explore addiction and drugs first hand, more researching the plight of those with addictions so you can understand and not say dumb poop. |

No interest.
Dont need them to be outgoing or calm down.
None of my friends did them either.
When i was 15 through 25 I was actively in the straight edge scene so I was really hardcore about not-drinking , smoking, doing drugs.
Over the past 19 years I have changed my though process to I dont want to do them but if other people do more power to them.

I'm currently working on a companion piece titled: "Top 10 photos of Andrew MacDonald not being Andrew MacDonald from the 2016-2017 season."
Just really heroic shots of AMac doing great things from last season. A certain someone will enjoy it. Problem though is I've only found 2 photos. I'm going to have to settle on great shots of Provorov with AMac somewhere in the frame, probably obscured. |

I have no issue with people who willfully become drug addicts killing themselves. Sucks for his family and friends, though.
