You generally play in their system (Junior Elit's U16/18/20 or SuperElit's U16/18/20), but only the best or most mature players tend to be in the Elitserien or Allsvenksan when they are younger than 17.

The SHL is a league for Swedish hockey players..

Sweden on average produces an elite player every 2-3 years.. If I'm correct, I believe you have to play in the SHL of you're a swede before leaving for NA.. That's why there are a couple really good players in that list, and a couple that we have never heard of. By no means is that list a template for what to expect from Borgman.

No I'm not saying that it is,but all indication is he'll be a player who'll be in the nhl, l was reading Swedish fan reactions and their sad to see him go! But added that the leafs fans will love this guy! ..are they professional scouts,no but then again either are ANY of us!

Next year this team will look slightly different again! They'll have 26mil? And the year after 35mil? And 40mil?for matthews and marner ,give or take but the leafs are fine! Frank this window shat! Marleau Hainsey Moore were brought in to help the rebuild! It wasn't a indication of it being over! or now we're contenders,because of the Washington series!
