Dont know how many years he'll want. I havent asked
- Fakepartofme

I think 6 x 6 sounds about right, some team might offer more. If you think about long term with the Leafs, the fact that the Leafs picked 3 overage LW in the 2016 draft might be a clue that they were planning for life after JVR. Korshkov was a head scratcher for many at pick number 31, but he might well be the guy that replaces JVR eventually.

Travis needs to be traded. He is simply not a full time player.

Agree, will not get much back for him though.

I like Travis, but I agree. He's usually good offensively but really bad defensively. This year, when he actually played, he wasn't even good offensively.

Jays should get rid of the following players:

Blue Jays players

There's rumoirs goong around the Jays are looking to sign Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles in an attempt to increase their batting average

He was one of the hottest hitters on the team when he got injured. He is a .292 career hitter - well above average in this Jays lineup. Problem with him is when he is off, it means Goins and/or Barney get a regular spot.

He hit well in May and almost not at all in April. His batting average is down 40 points this year from his career average. When you factor that in with being a subpar fielder, it's not good.

At least Goins will always give you spectacular defense. If only he could hit half as good as he can defend.

This is the second best gimmick after "I still can't believe we traded Clarkson."

Pillar needs to go - can't stand his lack of hitting/base running discipline He is fast but a terrible base runner, he can hit, but swings at pitches 6 feet away from the plate. One of the worst players I've ever seen hitting with men in scoring position. His batting average is .279 with bases empty and is .200 with men on. He is 0 for 7 with the bases loaded. His average is .167 with man on 3rd with less than two outs. (frank) his circus catches.

Can't afford even one player hitting as bad as Goins/Pillar/Barney/Maile on the team in the American League East. Boston, Yankees,Tampa,Baltimore all have stacked hitting lineups - with no filler like those mentioned above.

Sure you can. You just can't have an entire lineup doing it. Which is the problem the Jays have. The only guy whose been going all year is Smoak. Other than him, we've had, at most, 2 or 3 guys hitting well at the same time.

As a team, they don't hit consistently. They blow their load in one inning and that's all they manage for the entire game.

That's arguably the best forward group in the league. Definitely the deepest.

I agree, the word is a bit over the top. But as someone much smarter than you and I once put it : "Everything is Relative"
