Oh. I was just giving you a chance to show a little humility there but apparently you decided to go in the other direction.

Actually you were wrong about all those players as well as sobotka but don't let me stand in the way of your hubris.

You can spin it however you want. Please tell me what I was "wrong" about.

You're the one spinning, at the end of the day you overvalued players like Brewer, Lehtera, Halak, Shatty and undervalued Petro and Sobotka.

I'm not trying to start something with you. Your valuation of the Parayko contract was spot on but it fell within the parameters of what was expected in a Doug Armstrong contract. So basically it was a lucky guess, it doesn't mean that unlike every other human on earth, you are right 100% of the time. Especially when there is a record that shows otherwise.

I never said I am right 100% of the time.

You still should listen to me more.

If I need to guess how much something weighs, you'll be the first one I call.

As far as evaluating players, your sweater selection speaks for itself bud.

My sweater selection?

Fatty, what do you think my sweater selection is first off?

And how does that have anything to do with player evaluation?

I still feel bad for back when my PTSD was terrible and I had not learned to lve with and mercilessly attacked Carcus. I still have to praise him for his implaccable optimism for this team. I even tried to drink the Hitch koolaid. But Hitch is a dinosaur. He will seem good in Dallas but there are enough issues still present there for him to mess it up. But how will Hitch fair in the play offs? It is fitting for Yeo to take over for him as he was the youngest of the three coaches to out coach him in the playoffs. First Sutter beat him two years in a row, the first one lucky, the second he got Hitch to stop deploying the CPR line after going down 2-0. The next year bad timing of injuries to be sure but still Hitch makes huge mistakes like continually marching Miller out. The third year Yeo pysches out the older coach. The fourth year talent wins out in two rounds despite Hitch and make no mistake two seven game series that should have been done in five or six at most.

Then out coached by the guy I wanted the Blues to hire that same year they flirted with moving on from Hitch. Bc honestly that Blues team was far better than the Sharks.

Help me out Bcal, I know there was Brad Boyes, Lehtera, I think Halak. That's just from the modern era. Before that it was probably Petr Cajanek and Vincent Riendeau.

There's got to be a ton of useless information tied up in those blogs. You look at enough of it and you'll find plenty that each and every one of us was wrong about at one time or another.

Still, for carcus to insinuate that he somehow knows more than the average bear, I just couldn't let that stand.

I have purchased a Lehtera jersey.

Was given a Boyes jersey when I graduated college, which I later changed the name plate to become a Shattenkirk jersey.

I was also given a Chinese knockoff Halak 3rd jersey. I wore that once. Not a fan of the 3rd jersey to begin with, and it wasn't a good knockoff.

I had a Joseph jersey as a kid.

You are being a tool.

I guess he feels like he has to toot his own horn because he doesn't get any love here.

Poor fella.

You're right. That Halak sweater was not a good knock off......

Ok, as it stands today, how do you see the season going in the Central?

I think the Blues and Blackhawks are still the teams to beat in the Central. I have a feeling that the Hawks might slip some this year, but they will still be pretty good.

And it will likely be a fight with little separating most of the Central. I think 5 teams will get in again this year.

I could see the Hawks being a bubble team. Losing Hossa is a serious hit to their top 6, even if they recapture the cap space I don't see how they magically use it to bring in a player of his caliber.

I would agree with that. I would wager Preds, Blues & Stars are the top 3, in no intended order there. Wild shuffled the deck a little, but they shouldn't fall too far off. I wonder if a coaching change will become necessary in Winnipeg, because that team has way too much talent to not make the playoffs. Maurice's seat is probably warm going into training camp...if they finally put it together, though, I would not be surprised to see them challenging for the top Central spot.

Would be shocked if the Central does not claim 5 playoff spots though. Sharks and Kings are definitely inferior in my mind from last year's rosters and 'Yotes will be improved.
