i think he'll pile up points, but a lot of it will be PP. of course he's likely to be part of the core when we expect the team to be really good so his 5v5 production may match that.

I dont think reinhart is as good or as bad as people make him out to be. He's like the anti-risto. fails the eye test more often than not but you look at the other numbers and a lot of them read well.

i think assuming a line that had other players who are also top 6 i think he can be pretty good. not game changer good but still very good. he's just a very boring hockey player lol.

Getting a winger on the other side that is more talented than Foligno or Moulson would probably help as well. I think the two of them need a good forechecker who isn't Kane. Honestly, I wonder if that's where Bailey fits...not because he is a true top6 forward, but I think he's fast enough to keep up and strong enough to go get those two the puck from the corner.

Edit: I agree it's tough to say about Reinhart, but we haven't seen him with Jack AND a good winger to date IMO. Kane is good I guess, but can't handle their creativity and is more of a detriment to it.

Obviously GMJB and Housley do to because usually 2nd overall picks get offered a contract like Eichel is so he is not playing to the level he was scouted to play. Not bust but still in show me state.

Bill Hoppe was on Siriux XM NHL Radio yesterday and he mentioned that he expects Lehner to sign a 3 year deal of about $10MM dollars.

Not sure if he knows anything or is just guessing.

Personally, I would be happier with 2 Years, $10 million than 3 years $12 million.

Term is more important than cost at this point.

Very well could be and I think he's got the higher ceiling of the two. He's got the skating, but isn't as physically dominant is all. Who knows, I just think a more offensively gifted forward could help Reinhart get to that next level.
