Bailey, Baptiste, Nylander, Middlestat.
3 of your top 4 wingers? - ImThatGuy
I think Bailey is going to be a 3rd line winger and not a top 6; haven't seen enough of Baptiste in the NHL to judge; I think Middlestat cries center with his skating, playmaking, hands and scoring. Eichel light |

I have high hopes for the first 3 for the next two years. Middlestadt is a few away - sbroads24
When that happens, ROR is either 3C or 1 or 2LW |

Or he plays wing on Jack's line up
My question is why does everyone keep moving ROR from center that's where he's best at |

I see those 2 maybe full time in 2019
Bailey , Baptiste I just think they're going to be those typical plug in players that get 15 goals or so some years - GERBE!!!75PTS
what about Asplund? |

if he is our 3C i think we finally have a quality team to make a deep run.. it would be nice to keep him at C so we can run 3 solid lines.. even if he is better than one of the other top 6 wingers |

He was drafted as a more talented larsson he's most likely slotted for the third line
I think your top two centers are Jack and Ryan O'Reilly for many years |

I wouldn't. Just give Kane the $6mill a year.
They bring the same amount of scoring, basically, but Kane has stronger forecheck game, and he's a year younger. - Der Kaiser
I like Tatar, but not if it means losing Kane. Keep Kane, sign Cam Atkinson next year and be done with it. What did that do for ya? Did that just blow your mind? That just happened. |

What professional scout attached him to Larsson, except more talented? Maybe someone did but I don't recall. Just because he is from Sweden and a center doesn't mean he is stuck with Larsson at his hip. |

I actually wouldn't be shocked to see Middlestadt traded in 2 or 3 years for a position of need. |

I think they keep him and Reinhart is long gone before then. Middlestadt may play wing for a while but end up at center. |

I find it hard to believe that seemingly every franchise with a legit #1 center can find wingers to play with them, almost out of no where, except the Sabres. |

Matt Moulson spent 3/4th of a year with Eichel...
Talk about not putting your best player in a position to succeed |

Taken from this article:
His numbers would suggest something in the range of $7MM to $10MM
Jesus...can you leave a bigger gap?
Then to comments...
It's like they have never seen him play
7 years 56 million??
Nobody knows how good he really is. |

I wouldn't pay either.
We don't need another 6 mil winger.
Let one of the 5 or 6 guys we have in the system play with Jack and get 40-50 points. - sbroads24
The trade was Kane and pick for Tatar, so in that would not be "another" 6mil winger, but replacing Kane (5.25) with a 6mil guy, but as later messages show, Tatar only wanted 5.25, so it would be even for years to come. Not saying Sabres should do it, just clarifying as I see it.
I think Jack needs a true top 3 sniper winger. Dont care what we pay him, we need it and they will both tear it up. Maybe that winger is Okposo as they (Eichel and Okposo) have never played together on 5v5. |

no like the team that might trade a top pairing guy if you offer mittelstadt but wont if you offer reinhart. |
