Maata + Hornqvuist + Pouliot + 2018 1st

for

JVR + Bozak + 2018 2nd + Marchenko/Marincin (Pens' choice)

About 1 mil in salary difference (Pens take about 1 mil extra)

JVR & Bozak & Hornqvuist are all UFA's after this season

Are the leafs still in tank mode or will it be another 1st round exit this year? I'm just joking it was great to see the leafs make the playoffs for once but then even the capitals couldn't choke against them

LOL

I really don't know how a deal like this would work. The negative about Bozak is him being a UFA after this year, so while on paper he's worth a decent amount, his contract makes things complicated.

Plus, you guys have cap issues, so what would you need in return?

I think realistically if you're trying to maximize return while dumping space, you're limited to a pick/prospect package. If he had a few years left on his contract, I'd say a late 1st round pick would be a good return.

The Pens though would have to move pieces to another team in similar move due to their cap situation.

I'd send a 2nd and an above average prospect. The Pens have a couple of good goalie prospects, too. Again, this is all on if you're simply trying to dump space.

the issue here is that the Pens would need to move a player of similar contract in another deal to dump space.

You would swear this guys from Vancouver! Jesus Christ! I'll say this again (mostly because I'm bored! ) A broken down Hanzal and a flukey season eaves got a late 1st round! For approximately a month! And a bit younger 50pt center with a year of contract gets you a 2nd and some shat prospect? Why the frank would we trade him?oh to help those mother frankers win another cup?is bozak going to be a key peice in doing that? I don't franking know? Who the frank thought Kessel in the first cup run would of work so well? And actually I'm happy he did! And I don't hate the pens at all! But the leafs don't need to trade anyone! Our cap is fine and we're still ok with contracts, with brown signed that's it! This bullshat cutting into my drinking time! franking wankers!

Ahh, I wasn't aware. That changes everything then.

I'd propose reversing this a little. I'd send Maatta to you guys for Bozak and a 1st.

- Rinosaur

What a goof you'll send us Crosby and retain 7mil of salery and we'll give you a worn out Hossa jock strap! kids! anymore of this trolling and we should all just bombard their thread with stupid ass trolling trades

It appears that the Pens actually have about $10 million in space, Derrick Poulliot and a 1st.

On a side note, I heard that Pens might be trading Kessel, is that true?

- winsix

For one year of Bozak not likely. How about Ian Cole and a second round pick? That will get you a very capable defender and 2 mill in cap space. Sure beats Hainsy the turnover machine,

Which part do you disagree with the fact that it would cost more than nylander or marner to get ekblad or that he'd be one of the most expensive dman to trade for or both? 21 year old 6'4 right shot dman who's solid defensively with a big shot. 1st overall pick and has already been an all star. Who else has that resume. Locked up for 8 years at what will be a bargain if he doesn't turn into Phaneuf.
- HealthyScratch6

No thanks! this kid has what 3 concussions? Nope! stick to the plan! Jesus Christ we just got these franking kids and people want to trade them! I've been watching this shat show for 45 years! And we finally have some hope of top elite players! ..stop! Please but this is what happens!

did you happen to hear management, the coach Sullivan, and player's talk about him? After locker clean out, They loved him and he did everything that was asked! Sullivan said we put him in a position over his head, and he did what he could! He's not a top pairing guy! playing over his minutes and out of postion! franking wanker troll! He's a number 5/6 and the Pittsburgh players loved him! But I guess that would make them all idiot assshats! if bozac gets traded it wont be to the pens! Try getting Holland from Montreal !good night Mr. Hunter. .good night to you too! It was nice talking to you cheers

Who said anything about trading them. Ekblad is not available. I said he'd have more value in a trade than they would.

I guess if the Leafs wanted to be Shatta, then they would take Matta, but
there is very little intererest in adding a Shatta d-man so it doesn't Matta

Typical piece of sh!t troll, just like the piece of sh!t fans that would not cough up $40 to see them make it to the third round of the playoffs for the only time that will happen until Halley's comet is seen again.

Umm Bozak > Duchene. Probably. If not, it's very close and we already have Matthews and Kadri. Trading for Duchene(given the high asking price) would be ridiculous. He'd be our 3rd line center who doesn't quite fit into that role.

Bozak will be part of the TML contending teams over the next 1-5 years. After that we will still be contenders but Bozak might not be around or he'll fade away as a cheap 4th line center.

Whoa.

Bozak is a good player. If he's playing above your second line, you either have serious injuries or a significant lack of depth on your team.

Duchene is a legitimate top line Centre. He'd be the 2C on the Leafs because of Matthews.

But we don't need Duchene, and we wouldn't even be considering the price for him.

We have no problem keeping Maatta, you can keep Marincin.

Pouliot is unknown at present due to him not getting a lot of NHL time (strange that ).

- Aussiepenguin

I watched every Pittsburgh playoff game last year except when they were playing at the same time as the Leafs.

I'd have a problem keeping Maatta, if I were you.

There's an abundance of below average / weak defenders. Swapping Marincin for Maatta is like trading toilet bowl contents.

Bozak is the luckiest player in history. Signs to the max ELC and is promised top line minutes. Gets them with an elite first line player. Then he gets a second top line player beside him. Then when he loses one of the elite players, he gets one of the most explosive rookies in the league to lineup with. Gifted constant PP time throughout his career. Constantly used in the offensive zone. Defensive nightmares are "offset" because he can win a faceoff. Guy has been (frank)ing blessed.

I agree, and playing with Marner has certainly enhanced his value. There are a number of teams that are (frank)ed at centre and it is unlikely that Leafs will resign him, so let the Rangers/Canes/Habs start the bidding war.

I think his future is entirely up to if Nylander (or Marner?) is able to play centre, if they retain JVR or if Kapanen (or some other prospect) is able to impress enough to fill Nylander's vacuum from the wing.

2018's draft is really wing/defense heavy anyways.

True that trading him, there may be a void left, both Marner and Nylander have significantly more talent than Bozak, so eventually they will have to lose the saftey net and learn to swim in the deep end. This year is a good time to start.

It was hysterical watching him post this time last year that rookies won't make the leafs better, that marner and Matthews aren't good enough to move the needle for the leafs.... And now this year the sens are going to improve by leaps and bounds because of chabot and harpur

- burn

Remember when Matthews was potentially the next Yakupov? Good times.
