Thought you were leaving. And if I want to "be gay" about something, I'll find a better topic, like Lum's rugged good looks.

They spent 15 minutes (15!) on talking about how Curtis Lazar sucks ass...NOW! How his junior success was poop. How he couldn't score a goal to save his life...NOW! How when he was the best prospect to ever play the game...it was a LIE and they all knew he SUCKED...then? Or NOW? They can't keep the story straight. His MONO destroyed him! Then! But now, it has nothing to do with it because he SUCKS!...or not? Then? Or now? But he does? But not? Now?

It's so fun. I liked one guy saying if he ever scored 10 goals the rest of his career he would be lucky. Then I googled him and he said in 2014 that Lazar would be a career 30 goal man...

It's sad he's trolling the Leafs about prospect rankings when the Leafs just iced an NHL team full of them.

then he trolls the Marleau signing. ignoring the fact Marleau scored the same amount as their leading goal scorer.

- systemtool

It was hysterical watching him post this time last year that rookies won't make the leafs better, that marner and Matthews aren't good enough to move the needle for the leafs.... And now this year the sens are going to improve by leaps and bounds because of chabot and harpur

LOL

I really don't know how a deal like this would work. The negative about Bozak is him being a UFA after this year, so while on paper he's worth a decent amount, his contract makes things complicated.

Plus, you guys have cap issues, so what would you need in return?

I think realistically if you're trying to maximize return while dumping space, you're limited to a pick/prospect package. If he had a few years left on his contract, I'd say a late 1st round pick would be a good return.

The Pens though would have to move pieces to another team in similar move due to their cap situation.

I'd send a 2nd and an above average prospect. The Pens have a couple of good goalie prospects, too. Again, this is all on if you're simply trying to dump space.

the issue here is that the Pens would need to move a player of similar contract in another deal to dump space.

- Rinosaur

It appears that the Pens actually have about $10 million in space, Derrick Poulliot and a 1st.

On a side note, I heard that Pens might be trading Kessel, is that true?

Hmmm, Who has the better prospects?

Leafs iced what, 5 or 6 rookies last year, had the best rookie crop in NHL history, and even taking all that talent off the Marlies...

Marlies 42-29-5 for 89 points

Senators 28-44-4 LAST in the North, out of the playoffs.

THEN...

Sens draft 28th, and the Leafs draft a guy who was consensus top-2 before he got mono.

Sens two up and coming "superstars" both played in leagues significantly weaker than the AHL. One of them was in the worst junior league, and the other put up numbers worse than Jimmy 27-point Vesey.

Reality is stacked so far in the Leafs favour it is comical that any Sens fans even bother to show up around here.

But hey, Clarke MacArthur doesn't want to retire...

When you have the cheapest owner in the NHL and the top salary on your team is $7.25 million for a 30 year old RW that managed 13 goals and 25 points last year you are truly (frank)ed.

They think chabot is saviour and the leafs don't have any dmen. Dermott played in a stronger league and put up equal numbers and when they played on same team their numbers were equal.

Spatso argued with me, saying Dermott is older and from different draft class

Here are GM rankings for last year: Dorion and Benning are tied for last place. Guess what is considered Dorion's biggest weakness? Drafting!

Right, which why I said if the Pens made a move for Bozak they'd have to make a similar move themselves to free up the space and that's not very easy.

I don't think there's any truth to this Kessel malarky. It's just conjecture from so-called "insiders" who believe Sullivan doesn't like Kessel, Malkin doesn't like playing with Kessel, and now the Tocchet is gone(who liked Kessel), the Pens will ride out another season then move him.

A 1st is just too much for a Pending UFA. At least to me. I think a 2nd in this coming draft is very good considering how deep it is.

If Carolina wanted to. .ah.say get crazy? Toronto could really stock them up at forward! Kapanen, Rychel, jvr,+the Russian kid defenseman! Carolina would be a good threat for playoffs! Imho pending on darling? Their dcore certainly are not a problem! With stall skinner Aho Williams and the above mentioned players, can't remember what else they have.but not a bad forward group it would be!

He's of more value to the Rangers, Pens only need a 3C, Rangers just signed Deharnais, who is not a great talent.

Leafs don't have cap issues, they have 10 mill or so in ltir and if they trade Bozak they'll have about 15 mill to work with.

Ahh, I wasn't aware. That changes everything then.

I'd propose reversing this a little. I'd send Maatta to you guys for Bozak and a 1st.

Yeah... I mean you can find instances of moves like that, but it's certainly not the norm. As someone else pointed out, teams in more dire need will give more. The Rangers may be more willing to give a 1st.

Rangers have nothing to offer? No to Holden so nothing there! Definitely no to stall! Been reading about him and he's done! Plue his cap! Since his eye surgery? Rangers fans want him gone! Bozak is not going anywhere! We have no centers, and marleau and Komarov are not Options! They can play but that's not what the leafs would ever do unless it was a dman of quality to make them do so?And that ain't gonna happen
