I don't see how as they're pretty close to the same team as they were last year. They replaced Eberle and Pouliot with Strome (bigger and faster than Eberle) and Jokinen (smaller and somewhat slower than Pouliot).
Sekera being out doesn't help, but Auvitu seems to be a similar style of player to him in many rights so I don't see them losing a step speed-wise there, either. |

It's you
BArring internal improvements from last years 3rd pairing as well as the likes of caggiula, slepyshev and puljujarvi, we're potentially "worse" than last year with the losses of eberle and sekera.
But not necessarily slower. Ebs is certainly a more proven scorer than strome, but he's never been an especially great skater or lethal off the rush.
The loss of reggie hurts our overall skating, but it's only short term |

Aside from jokes, im actually reasonably comfortable with klef and Larsson as our top pairing . Klef was fantastic down the stretch. Pretty much a true 1. Struggled abit in the playoffs though.
While Larsson was competent and adequate along with some solid intangibles.
What I thought we needed was an upgrade on russel to improve the second pair. Instead we doubled down
