Walshy: What's your take on Nucks fans insistence that the Leafs need to trade Nylander for Tanev?

Here are my theories:

1) Their brains have shrunk as a direct influence of listening to Benning's press conferences, causing them to believe that Tanev is actually worth an elite player in trade, even though he scored 10 points and has never played a full season.

2) Their d!cks have shrunk with the knowledge that the Nucks selected Virtanen instead of Nylander

They are good skaters and look to be good dmen.
As of now, I believe they will see some time with the leafs but will be with the Marlies most of the year.
That could change based on injuries, training camp and if the leafs do not trade for a top 4.

HOW Many you seen these guys play?

Can we stop judging these guys before even seeing them play or even practise? We don't even know if they are finished adding to this group. It's hard to say who is and isn't going to make it when you don't know who'll be here or how good these new guys are

In person. none. In vids, both. Base on what Ive seen, I wouldnt say elite skating but they look really good.
Hence why I said, I think.

Dont know for a fact as, the leafs might not trade for another top 4, people could get injured, they could rock training camp.
Or leafs could get another top 4, these guys see some time with leafs throughout the season, which is what I think could happen.

I realize the Leafs are done with UFAs for the summer but it is interesting to see how many FAs are still available that are over 30. The league is definitely for young men.

yeah, that i think you're seeing erosion of the middle class. middle players are going to get there salaries pushed down while top players keep getting more.

No, not Jim Benning either, but the posts from Canucks fans to date seen here were for the most part starting with Nylander plus for Tanev. And the general feeling on this blog was that there wasn't a single player - anywhere in the Vancouver organization which would merit Nylander in return. I personally don't want an undrafted player that managed 10 points in a season for the Leafs. I don't care about intangibles.
