I don't like the 3 point games. 2 points for the winner, 0 for the loser. I think the 3on3 is entertaining somewhat. I don't have a huge problem with it. - Isleshockeyman
I think 3 on 3 is minor league and my new commissioner Bobby Orr is going to get rid of it. |

I think the loser point is tantamount to a participation trophy. 3on3 I could take it or leave it. doesn't matter to me. |

You can do both. Being paranoid that JT should be traded by a certain time is not realistic. - bgainesDM
I'm not being paranoid, im being honest. Letting him walk for nothing would be unfathomable |

It's very hard to get on Tampa for missing the playoffs like they did. Isles missed because they held onto Cappy too long and leaving Halak in the minors too long to name a few. Isles were self inflicted wounds and Tampa's were not. |

When I say Tampa 50/50 I mean a series against them can go either way.
Why the hell should anybody be scared of the Caps in the playoffs? Gimmie one good reason. Neither Trotz nor Ovi have what it takes to ever get past the 2nd round. That's the Caps' ceiling. Being realistic, the ceiling for the Isles is much higher.
Why do I think this?
A) Pulock will get more goals than Hamonic ever did and will boost the PP which will schematically be boosted with new staff.
B) Eberle scoring more points than Strome
C) The BLT line thriving again this time with a JT that will bounce back
D) No premature benching of youngsters, thus boosting their confidence in play
E) Full year of Ho-Sang
F) A more humble Halak and No more than 40 games for Greiss
The opposite of those are what had us missing the playoffs by only a point. - bgainesDM
look I agree on all points......HOWEVER are all 6 things going to happen? thats a lot of ifs to bank on and I much rather not have to hope 6 things happen to make the playoffs. Also make fun of the caps not getting past 2nd round all you want but we have won 1 round since 93

And the Isles should still be scared of the Caps in the playoffs. |

Sorry 7. I'm going with Tampa's mental toughness over the Isles. You know we have guys like Bailey and Nelson right? Not to mention Tampa having Cooper and Stevie Y running the show. - ses111
They are all pro Athletes and could give a shat if JT signs here or goes elsewhere. Nothing they can do about it. As a matter of fact Nelson becomes that much more important for the Islanders to sign if JT walks. They aren't worrying about something they can't control. It's media fueled BS.
As long as he gets a big number and it helps the NHLPA Brotherhood they are going to go about their business and play the game. Their are not going to worry where JT is going to be next year. If he's here great, if not what are they going to kick and scream and cry. |
