When I say Tampa 50/50 I mean a series against them can go either way.
Why the hell should anybody be scared of the Caps in the playoffs? Gimmie one good reason. Neither Trotz nor Ovi have what it takes to ever get past the 2nd round. That's the Caps' ceiling. Being realistic, the ceiling for the Isles is much higher.
Why do I think this?

A) Pulock will get more goals than Hamonic ever did and will boost the PP which will schematically be boosted with new staff.
B) Eberle scoring more points than Strome
C) The BLT line thriving again this time with a JT that will bounce back
D) No premature benching of youngsters, thus boosting their confidence in play
E) Full year of Ho-Sang
F) A more humble Halak and No more than 40 games for Greiss
The opposite of those are what had us missing the playoffs by only a point.

Your whole post is assumptions, speculations and hopeful thinking. Believe me, I hope you're right. I really do. I just have no faith in Snow. He's had 10 years to put a contender together and hasn't even come close.
By the way, knock it off with TB and "last year". You want to run Isles stats from the last few years but only last year for other teams. If you're going to compare apples to apples, then do it. Don't compare turtles to helicopters.
