This was contingent on them making the playoffs. The regular season hardly sold out, minus a few games during the year.
I do think if the Isles stayed at NVMC, they would have had to become a perennial winner and go DEEP into the playoffs for at least 5 years in a row to fix attendance problem. - Dedshark
I had season tix for 12 years. They sold out when they played well...especially on the weekends. They would start the season with a sell out.. if they won a few games in a row people would be there... usually after the November debacle that seemed to happen every year it would end up being me and the Loudville dopes. |

I'm going to panic anyway!
I don't know why but I still get the feeling JT signs. |

I get the feeling he won't, especially if Snow doesn't bring in another elite forward. Hope I'm wrong but I've been hoping Snow would be gone for years now. |

I know Bailey will sign. It's only a matter of how bad the contract will be. I'm guessing $30 mil over 5 years. |

I think this is the team we will see on the ice in October. I hope you are wrong about JT. |

I'm not recommending it! What do you think he will offer? Keep in mind Snow thinks Clutterbuck is worth $3.5 mil per year. - JimmyP
I think they sign based on the cap going up so in a few years it's a fair deal idk. I'm just going to stop looking for logic in it |

I'm starting to lean more and more that he won't. I was 60/40 a couple weeks ago now I'm 70/30 he won't. Hope I'm wrong also
To me this doesn't look good and I couldn't blame the guy at all if he left. |

It is also clear Tavares is being kept in the loop for all things that have gone on, from the pending proposal for a new arena at Belmont Park — if New York State ever gets around to releasing the Request for Proposals (RFA) — as well as all the signings and trades being executed by Snow.
Well, that couldn't have been a terribly long discussion... |

I think he's going to be offered 25 mil for 5 years and if he says no(depending on where the Isles are in the standings), he'll either be traded midseason or at the offseason. |

Eberle's no scrub and Lee had 30+ goals this year. Both have scored with and without JT. I'm still believing it's more to do with certainty of where the team will be playing in the next few years. |

Why? That actually makes sense. Also, he's used in the PK a lot, so he plays more than just 5 on 5 4th line minutes. |

Paying players an undeserved, inflated salary as compared to present day salaries with hopes salaries and the cap will go up. Doesn't sound like a recipe for success to me. Nope, no theorizing bad contracts Snow has plenty under his belt and a few more up his sleeve. |

I say he gives Bailey $6 mil a year and it gets done before Tavares. |
