I'm more excited about this years team with a bunch of young blood then I have been in 5-6 years.

And, to take it one step further, the last time I was this excited about seeing so much youth coming into the lineup would probably be all the way back to 84-85 when Craven, Tocchet, Smith, Zezel, Todd Bergen and Joe Patterson were rookies and Tomas Eriksson, Len Hachborn, the Sutters were in their 2nd seasons and they had 2 great young goalies with LIndbergh and Froese. Plus, I was really fascinated at the time with the hiring of such a young and dynamic coach and was really looking forward to see how Keenan would do at the NHL level.

Funny story from Keenan's early time in Philly...I was at the Leafs-Flyers game at the old Gardens watching the warmup for the game when Keenan came and sat down to watch with the assistant coach....I couldn't help myself so I walked over and wished him luck....as I was walking away I turned and said....and "good luck in the finals this year"....He smirked and said thanks....that was the year they lost to the oilers in the SCF's.
