Ryan is the smallest of the brothers, maybe the best skater relative lol. Dylan is tall, but was 185lbs at draft day. His skating always was going to be average at best, but he needed mostly muscle/power skating. He's smart and skilled, and being a Couturier type skater isn't a deal breaker in being an impact player. Yet, Matthew is the biggest of them all. He's just under 6'4 and weighs ~207lbs (from the combine). I WISH he could skate like Dylan, but then he would've been a late 1st rounder probably.
But this is a kid with NHL prospect brothers, parents who have spent god knows how much $$ on his hockey career. Matthew is one of the worst skaters I can think of seeing, and there is not a single facet of his skating that isn't degrees of below average.
You see pictures of him from the Trial, shirt off, and you can tell he is not in great shape. Baby fat, zero tone. And he would look gassed on shifts in games. Guess that's a silver lining though in that he can get in good shape, if he wants (and some kids have tougher bodies to get in shape, not saying he's got poor work ethic or anything). That's the easy part. - Mononoke
Yet he won basically every event

Some people have stupid feet. - Tomahawk
I can't wait until Matthew's skating breakthrough occurs by someone telling him he's been putting his skates on the wrong feet this whole time |

Can't disagree with anything you wrote. But, as I said in today's blog, if Holmström and Maroon (who was considered overweight as well as a downright poor skater) could overcome their severe skating deficiencies enough to be NHL contributors, Strome can do it, too. |

Does Strome have some of the nastiness that Maroon has? I haven't seen a lot of his games compared to others. |

Did they ever come clean about why he was kicked off the Phantoms? |

Strome isn't nasty in the least bit. He'll finish his checks, get dirty, battle hard on pucks, but he's pretty gentle otherwise tbh.....during and after whistles. |

he was a malcontent. Was given plenty of chances to clean up his act. He was young and clearly he has cleaned his act up. |

I thought he played in some roller tournament and that was the last straw, no? |

It will be nice if he blossoms into a quality NHL forward |

No idea, you don't get kicked off a team for butting heads w/ the coach, or being lazy or playing roller hockey. |

Who knows, but to kidnap 4 boys, control them, murder them, and then to dispose and do whatever with the remains, as well as dig that hole, is A LOT of work for a 20 year old to do alone all within a week. Maybe even less time depending on when he was in custody and when the bodies were buried. - arichardson22
late on this, but I read certain guys disappeared before others. so he didn't necessarily have to murder all of them at once. I've been reading really crazy stories on the internet too, some involve the kid that got beat up at temple not too long ago. |
