bc a roster designed around his chip and chase "system" and asked to play for a new coach in august who tried to stress puck possession and controlled zone entry exists really didnt jive. Who would have thought players who cant play that system would struggle...weird

Also losing your number 1 Dman and number 1 goalie for half the season didnt help.

The Avs WILL finish last again this season, that is a fact and unless something drastically changes by next season they will finish last again! I am not too hopeful for the Flyers this season but even they will finish higher than the Avs.

This is exactly what I said a couple months ago. Sakic is turning this team into the new Edmonton Oilers. They are poised to be another team that spends 9 years at the bottom of the standings if things dont change.

My Flyers were suffering the fate of the Maple Leafs where they would trade their prospects and young players to try and fill holes and in the end were stuck in that 9th place bubble team spot. Finally they are heading out of that mess but it will still be another few years.
