I'm pretty sure he does and even if I'm wrong...GOOD! We have plenty of a centers.

He tries to play center and does a bad job of it also I don't like his face so that's a no from me

I would do it too.

However, it would be admitting to a rebuild...can't see the Flyers doing it this summer. If they miss again next year, next summer I think they entertain the idea of moving him.

It's no secret I'm a Brayden Schenn fan. I wouldn't have traded him, at least not this summer, flaws and all. He was still a productive player. Couturier and Schenn in my mind in their mid 20's balanced line up. The moment we moved one and we add a couples rookies barely 20 to the mix of guys knocking on 30 years of age, the balance dipped a bit. So why not commit to a rebuild? I think Alex Galchenyuk is exactly what we need.

Interested in your opinion. Where would you rank him against the other forward prospects? Could you make a top 15 list? Thank you in advance.

I'd have him right with Vorobyov as my #6/7 forward, edge to Vorobyov maybe because I think he's more easily projectable at center. I am very high on him, and I think within the next few years he could prove to be a gem. Like Lindblom's development has gone pretty perfect in getting towards his ceiling, but if I had to say who the next Lindblom type could be, in a relative manner of speaking, it would be Laczynski. He has everything in his game to be a real multidimensional pro, just needs that half step quickness, as Bill alluded to. But it will come; he's already showing improvement and is a decent skater in other aspects. Honestly Vorobyov fits that bill too. They're quite similar in many regards.

Giroux for Galchenyuk straight up is a fireable offense on our end as well.

For what it is worth....Bob Mackenzie said at the draft that a rumour was that MTL had asked about Giroux....but that there was no truth to it per se. How ever Hextall's response was that teams always ask about Giroux....no movement clause puts damper on any rumour, but who knows.

What would be a better deal (if one HAD to be made with these two players)?

Gross overpayment on Montreal's part. No one wants the recycled trash from an awful franshise that hasnt won a stanley cup in over 40 years from a city that has a three team championship drought and a basketball player with a sprained ankle. No sir, no one wants to take on any of that.

There is not a viable trade option right now for Giroux so don't do it.

Giroux is overrated imo.Just like schenn he has become a pp specialist. He offers nothing else besides being a great faceoff guy.He isnt worth the 8 mill and if the habs would take him i make that trade without the 1st but a 2nd and 3rd.Something along those lines.Fans need to wake up and realize Girouxs best days are behind him..

You know what Nolan Patrick and your little brother have in common?

Neither one is going to make it in the NHL, THATS WHAT!

The second part of that is really the only reason to not trade for someone.

I went over to the camp on Saturday morning.

A few things that stood out to me.

Tomek is so far behind Hart and Sandstrom it's not funny. Sandstrom has a lot of similarity to Henrik in his motions side to side. Hart is just so quick.

Myers was the D man that stood out to me. Myers' movement for his size is impressive. Sanheim was steady but just seemed to be a little off on a drill or two. Kjell said something early in a drill then later when Travis redid it Kjell said "Better"
Not many other D really stood out most just seemed to be grinding the drills. It's not a bad thing at this time that we only had 2 D there that are looking to be pushing for NHL time.

During the forward session the first thing that hit me was Strome's size. He's a big dude but definitely will take some work as he seemed to cut some drills off before the rest of the kids. Rubstov and Fazleev were being translators for Vorobyev so I guess they will be setting him up with a tutor soon if they haven't already. Laberge and Aube-Kubel impressed me with their shots. Lindbolm was fun to watch but I think he's more focused on fall though.

For the Flyers. I don't see Montreal doing it even a little. The cap hits alone make it almost untenable from their standpoint.

I took the girls over on Saturday. I actually thought that Sanheim looked pretty good, but I was on the other end of the ice, closer to the door. In the group I saw (black jerseys), the one thing I noticed was Bernhardt's size, but also his skating issues. His cuts were choppy, but he handled the puck as well as anyone else. No one else in that group really stood out.

Watched a bit of the forwards, and Rubstov did stand out to me (as did Strome, for the reasons you noted).

By the way, who were the goalies working with the forwards? One of them looked about a head shorter than the other.
