Seems to me the teams that made side deals let certain players unprotected with the understanding they wouldn't be taken. So I doubt they'd be exposed unless it was the case.

I think they completely misjudged the market for all those defensemen they took. They held half the league for ransom to allow them to keep their good players and then realized that nobody really wanted to do much business with them to acquire all the defensemen they took. McPhee looked smart at first but now has a team of crap.

Seems to me the teams that made side deals let certain players unprotected with the understanding they wouldn't be taken. So I doubt they'd be exposed unless it was the case.

Honestly, this will prob not go over well, but i would also be ok if they decided to sign a player like to Doan for the 4th line. i feel like we need some type of veteran presence for the forward group. Not sure if that would take away from Buch's playing time though.

they were screwed once they hired GMGM. This is the man that traded Filip Forsberg for Martin Erat!! he should have been shunned from hockey after that. I think their strategy is to tank so bad that the team folds... at least that is what it looks like.

if they are looking to add a depth wing, Stalberg would fit your "needs to skate" criteria. not sure they want Stalberg and Grabner on the same team though. I wouldnt mind it though, our PK should be much better with 2 guys that can skate like the wind.

I had no idea he was a free agent. It would make a lot of sense to add him back to the team.

I really don't have any idea what the next Ranger move is, other than sign Zibinajed, I do believe they'd probably not go into the season with over 4 mil in cap space though

who knows, maybe they have something unexpected up their sleeves
