Clearly you never played on a team before. Most of their success was because AS A GROUP they played well together. Sure Gudbranson and Kulkov sucked on their new teams. COOL. The fact that with them here, that group won the division for the first time ever and over 100 points for the first time ever and then they blow it up. Last year it was the D this year it was the O. Next year it will be the G. Luongo will be bought out once he can't stay on the ice this year and Reimer blows.

The Vegas > Florida is a stretch. But, right now, not a chance this roster competes for anything. They are not a playoff caliber team right now. So, yeah, I can see us being in the lottery conversation. The guys upstairs just are not sure what they want to do.

No, I don't believe that one. Some deals in free agency though are the best ones that don't happen. If Tallon pulled off that trade with Vancouver to bring Gudbranson back, everyone would have thought it was the best free agency period for Panther fans..but would it have been?

This roster is set up for failure. Remember what happened to them when Huby got hurt? They needed a miracle and they got one from Marchassult. What thanks does he get? Oh just gets un protected and we lose him to Vegas. Tell me, who is going to step up when either Barkov trocheck and or Huby goes down this season? You really think Bjugstad is going to do anything? Who else? They dumped all our secondary talent on forward. At least last year we had some hope of turning it around. Sorry I have no faith in Dadonov. Neither do they since they gave up on him earlier in his career. Vrbata is 36 and declining. Why bring him in? Oh because it was cap friendly. GET it thru your head man.

would allow a 30 goal scorer under contract for minimal cost get picked in the expansion draft

Dale Tallon is killing Florida. Never thought I'd say that, but he's so angry about getting a pat on the head and an office job when they went full analytics that he's trying to undo everything Rowe was trying to build. Huge step back.

Gudbranson, Kulikov, and Campbell all had brutal seasons (the first two were the worst players on their teams, Campbell got hate from Quenville). You're faaaaar better of for with Yandle, Demers, Pysyk, and McCann.

Obviously, not according to some of these geniuses. The 103 point team did need a fine tune and not a clean house. The biggest error came in letting Gallant go, not shedding some of the players they did. Plenty of ownership blame, just point it out accurately.

The team is surrounding themselves with so much "if this" and "if that", it won't be a successful season by any means. And please don't feed me the "well they did this in Europe..." crap. That's the argument they're using in order to sign European players and save money. The NHL is head fast churning towards another lockout, and it's one this team will not survive unless two or three consecutive playoff appearances, STARTING THIS SEASON, happens. And let me just tell you, there are not 8 teams in this LEAGUE let alone conference we match up against in a favorable light.

I've been watching this dysfunction since 93. granted I was only 6 at the time I loved the logo. Got hooked, then we went all the way to the cup finals in 96 I was 9 years old. Fast forward to today, they haven't won a playoff series since 96, and it doesn't look like they will in the near future.

Explain to me what you think. Do you honestly think this team is trending in the right direction? if you do then Please stop lying to yourself. They are the model for dysfunction. It's an ownership group that has lied and screwed over the best two hockey guys we've had in years (Tallon and Gallant) in favor of probably the worst person I've seen within this organization (Rowe) since Jacques Martin. I'm sure you have no clue who JM is since you've probably just started following this franchise.

Simply put, I bash this organization and the fans that believe in this lost cause because the proof is in the pudding.
