My only concern about Dorsett is health? Will he come back at 100%
- VANTEL

It's only going to get worse as he gets older, his style of play at his size was always an issue. It's why I thought giving him 4 years was stupid. Never give a 4th liner a 4 year contract.

I don't think Dorsett will ever be 100% but will clear and play like you fear. He's a real life Super Dave Osborn...

Derek Dorsett is a legit NHL player, if he is healthy he will be on the team. If he is not, he will be on LTIR. Aquillini will not pay him $2.65m for 2 years in the minors either so he can "mentor" down there

I went back and looked at your NHL roster again, who is killing penalties? Bo, Sutter and then who? Where is the depth if its Bo or Sutter that takes then penalty? Who on your lineup is going to throw a hit? I mean, I guess I don't want to be blind to possibilities so I'll say Henrik leads the team in hits this year. Don't tell me I am wrong though, because that would mean you're blind to possibilities...

- WhiteLie

My point is the option is there and there is value in it because as I pointed out DD is a legit NHL player. FA has buried contracts in the AHL before and you know it. Live in your cave of denial. Change happens whether you like it or not the NHL game is evolving.

Guddy should lead Canucks in hits this season. Granlund and Sven have been used on the PK. LE could be an option with JV as well.

He's more or less a punching bag to attract the frustrated ill will away from the pussies on the Canucks.

He's like Wiley Coyote playing against a full roster of Roadrunners(Anvils and fake bench doors included).

theres already competition for a spot on D, so keep OJ where he is for 1 more season and that also gives time to move a D out for assets closer to the draft
- SMBDragon

OJ is part of the competition. If he beats out Biega. You know he'll get time during the season with the injury prone D. If he's sent to junior then your options are limited to Subban and Pedan.

There is still only 60mins in a game.
Where is this 4 deep balance u speak of coming from?

Using your analogy then rip off TOI from true scoring lines.

- Nighthawk

Look at CBJ and even Wild as examples. Without superstars to eat up minutes. Keeping players fresh and balancing out lines helps with scoring.

OJ put on 20 pounds of muscle. If he is the best player at the spot then play him, if not move him. I think the more time with Tanev the better for him.
- VANTEL

I think that if OJ is ready, Hutton is moved to make room.

If Mcphee would alter his draft because of pointing at a prospect, then he's pretty easy to fool. The old "look over there" routine...

JB would be selling low on Hutton imo, I think he plays better this year and puts up more points. I'm expecting the 25 he put up in rookie season and maybe even more depending on PP time. I don't think him hitting 30 points is that outlandish, and that would be a solid total for a dman on a bottom feeder team.

Why does it have to be lights out play? If he is better than the person he is competing against that should be good enough. Best player for the spot

I remember listening to a Comets game mid/late season and it was the first time that JV had broke out of the 12 min range. The commentators said, "I hope JV is paying attention. Green is not known to give big minutes or important roles to young players and tonight he is on pace for 17 to 18 min."...

From professionals who watched Green every game and has inside contact with him, sounds like the kids are going to have to play above and beyond to earn their ice time. This isn't a bad thing but many people believe Green is going to be all about the kids. If this is the case, he'll be coaching out of his element according to his time in Utica. Not playing the kids had been mentioned by a couple of the writers at Canucks Army as well...

- boonerbuck

No doubt they will have to earn it. Why I think there will be some shuttling between Comets. But difference is he won't give up on them or banish them.

He's had a tough time with processing the game at a high level. Not throwing him away but relying on him to step up is limiting.

Yes; however, the stem cell therapy available now is incredible.

Many athletes are reporting they are stronger than they were before.

This is an icredible time to be alive.
