Watch the mic'ed up link above.

I did but could find the report from Lebrun that the pick was a 2nd round and that Vegas had caught wind of VAN wanting Pettersson.

There wasn't I was just pointing out that they were talking about trading down in one clip and in the next they are pointing out Peterson in the crowd and the next McFee is backing out.

JV can be shuttled back and forth like the other waiver except prospects. But he can add to a balanced attacked and speed game in NHL line. Shouldn't see lines as fixed numbers.

As for DD posted it several times my take look at those posts even in this thread. I'll add this. There are no playoffs for Nucks. So he has better value leading and teaching young prospects into playoffs for Comets.

JV can be as an injury fill in, but that doesn't get him on the lineup card. As with most call ups, they sit in the press box while the 13th F or 7th D step into the lineup. As for Dorsett, it will 100% not happen. If he is too injured to play, then he will be on LTIR. If he can play he will be on the NHL roster.

They will not send him to the AHL, because:

-he would be taking development ice time in the AHL while others that need to play more will be grocery sticks in the NHL
-that would diminish his value tremendously, with smaller cap hit he is desirable
-and it would kill VAN's reputation around the league as a place to play. Adding another NHL skater to their list of exiled, just so an underwhelming prospect can play 10 minutes or sit in the press box will blacklist them from many player's lists

It's all bs speculation. Vegas probably pulled the offer because trading a second to move 1 pick is moronic

I can't find the Lebrun tweet anymore, perhaps it was debunked and then removed. This NHL writer sent this tweet out though:

There is not unlimited call ups & shuffling back & forth is pointless.

I feel good about Brackett running the draft, seems like a smart guy. Just keep Delorme and Weisbrod away from important decisions.

When are they getting fired? What happened to those shake up reports

Yeah, I'm just glad they didn't trade up for him. Too bad about Vegas not giving us that extra pick.
- Nucker101

Greedy frackers hope they choke on their picks and extra players they can't move.

Whether by injury or performance reasons it will be more common in the age of developing by Green. I don't see him fixated on the vets like WD.

Reports on draft day from Lebrun was that it was a 2nd round pick but Vegas caught wind VAN was passing on Glass and withdrew
- WhiteLie

To move up one spot I highly doubt it. The way they were talking it sounded like it wasn't much.

The gamble paid off for them, are you mad at them for being smart?

Just wait for them to put some players on waivers and claim them. Still have 10 NHL D or something.

Your 100% is a tall order. I am saying it makes sense if they do it. Especially if players actually beat him out for a spot. DD is likely the new Higgins this season. How did that stop all these free agents from signing here?

DD is a legit NHL player and has great work ethic. His best value for Canucks is that he can lead Comets to playoffs. Where he is most effective to teach what it takes. There are not that many actual prospects on Comets that if DD takes a roster spot from Stewart it's not an issue.

WD was fired. Green was brought in under a new mandate. You should wake up to this and not be stuck in the past. Prospects will play not sit in the press box if called upon. Those not performing will get sent to Comets. The depth is there to be used.

Yeah, I don't like some of the moves McPhee has made, but they had a great draft

Anything that hurts Canucks is an enemy and can go frack off. Their greed pushed them to gamble. I expect after their mafia run expansion they will get burned and abused. Their post draft trades are pathetic in value.

If Rodin is healthy, I see him beating out guys like Boucher. Boucher has a great shot, but he doesn't bring much else to the table. Rodin's faster and more skilled.
- Nucker101

He's got an opportunity to prove it. Everyone will earn it in camp. If he falters his contract will help him get waived and he can find his game with Comets.
