Johanson Played mostly on the second line for Washington I'm not too worried about his numbers being inflated as we actually have skilled players to play him with if it was 1-2 seasons ago I would of been worried about that but we finally have a solid top 6 even our bottom 6 looks good a lot of speed on this team can't wait for October

All in all, it was really really really idiotic of Lou not to forfeit the 29th pick after the SC run. Sure he got a 31st, but he gave up a top10 pick that year if im not mistaken.

Never understood the logic there.

If Kovy brings us a legit defender then it's a really good offseason. Maybe great. Only do the deal with Columbus if they'll take Prout back. Kidding. With the loss of Helgeson, Prout is probably our 7th.

Wouldn't mind one more fill in winger like Jagr as this year's Stempniak/PAP. Maybe run a hail mary gamble on Yak or Pirri.

Would also be thrilled to see some of the cap space leveraged to help a cap strapped team.

I checked just for fun, Kevin Fiala was the 11th pick that year. Followed by Perlini, Vrana, Honka and Larkin. Some decent players there.

That line would be easy to stop. Wood and chiasson suck in their own zone. We don't have good enough d to bail them out. If that line does form wood and chiasson would get max 10mins per night. Boyle is a Pk guy so he will get his. I'd like:

Sasha is just as good as Mathews if not better. They were an 8th place team who barely got in. You'll hear how the "kids" surprised everyone. nonsense, after 40 or so games you're not a rookie anymore. I think people just get told by everyone in the media how good TO is because the majority are a bunch of fan boys and it's good for business. Don't get me wrong they got some players but I think I need to see it again to buy in.
