Thoughts on the Marleau signing and the Leafs vs the Canucks rebuild?
- walshyleafsfan

Always liked Marleau, still a great skater and he'll do well there with the talented young offensive group you've got. A lot of money for a guy who's 38 though and a full nmc plus a +35 contract.

Should do well though...

Canucks vs Leafs rebuild? I'm not sure they're comparable, are they? If there's any comparison it's that we're in the Burke stages of a rebuild, yet to see the Nonis years and then hopefully the Shanny years.

I've put some feelers out internally for a different role. I started out with this gig, moved up in a year, and now manage the team that I started on. It's just time for me to do something different.

Also interned for 2 summers in the same team. So I've been around this stuff for 5 years now.

I wonder if Senstroll still thinks the Jays will turn it around... Rogers is going to really regret jacking up their prices and killing off fan passes.

He's actually a good player but it doesn't help he plays on a dumpster fire of a team. His most frequent linemates last year were Jason Megna (AHL player) and Markus Grandlund

You should tell that to the guy who's hacked your account in the Nucks thread.

MDZ, Gagner and Nielson ??

I thought they were horrible moves. just makes their odds for Dahlin and that Russian worse.

What they should be doing is signing guys to one year deals so they can deal them for picks at the deadline.

I'm laughing at all the hysteria and comparison between the two franchises fan. They're simply not in the same space when it comes to rebuilding.

BTW.....I'm not a fan of the contract, but I am a fan of the player.

Good stuff... hopefully it works out for you

I had a buddy working in FX in Toronto for a while (I think at State Street?), and he got bored of it pretty quickly after moving into management. Eventually he took a package when they looked for layoffs and slipped sneakily into a new role at TD

I think they're good signings, they have to get rid of the AHL level players (Chaput, Megna, Cramarossa etc) and put a better product on the ice for 41 home games to attract fans. Those moves bide time for prospects to develop is all.

They're still a bottom five team...lottery bound for sure. But slightly more entertaining.

You're just like the other 99% of the fan base that saw the issues from day 1.

Senstroll and Fake know that it's still early.

Pillar, Barney, Pearce, Goins, Martin will all learn how to hit real soon.

Travis and Tulo will decide to stop taking injury their whole career.

JB and Morales will stop being 74 years old.

And the club will actually start giving a poop about pitching.

Lipstick on a pig. All the players are batting for their own numbers. Glad they extended Gibbons...... I didn't imagine Atkins would sink the team this quickly but here we are.

They're God damn awful.

The management is truly inept.

We have a few Blue Jays apologists in these threads.
