Like I said, my opinion of Alzner might be a little dated.
If he's anything like the player I remember, I'm glad the Habs got him at that price.
But more and more reports are talking about a player who has declined in the last 2 years.
This being said, it's the same reports that tried to make me believe that Shea Weber was now barely a first pairing defenseman so I'll wait and see how he actually plays. |

Weber will prop him up, no worries. Alzner's game is kind of like Bernie's of Weekend fame. |

If you guys lose Radulov, who the hell are you banking on to put the biscuit in the basket? Don't tell me Drouin. He's a great young prospect/player, but he hasn't proven he can be relied on yet.
Planning on winning all the games in 1-0 shootout?

If Radulov doesn't come back, Habs will depend ALOT on Galchenyuk going back to 2016 level of production and Drouin being that impact player.
So yeah, question marks.
If, somehow, Markov AND Radulov come back AND Drouin and Galchenyuk play up to potential.... Habs could be a very strong team.
Lots of "ifs" and "maybes" though. |

What's up with Galchenyuk, I like him every time I see him play, is he going to take the next step? I always want him to be a Leaf when I see him. |

Apparently, we're in on the Duchene trade discussions
I don't know that I want to give up Carlo, but we do have a lot of depth on the back end prospect pool.
Top 6 of Duchene, Bergeron, Marchand, Pastrnak, Krejci, Backes could be pretty scary |

From the end of the 15/16 season up until his injury last year, Galchenyuk had been nothing short of dominathing. He was looking like that 1st line centre we badly needed.
Unfortunately, he didn't come back to that level after his injury.... some are talking about his "off-ice" activities and some questionnable life choices to explain it. Hopefully it's something that'd behind him.
Because when he's playing at the best level he can, you're right.... he's really, really good. |

Would you be ok with a Carle for Duchene trade straight up?
It's a tough call to make. |

I guess it depends on what type of contract he expects after the 2018-19 season. If it was reasonable, then yeah I think I would.
I think Lauzon, Zboril, and to some extent O'Gara could step up. They spent the whole season without McAvoy on the back end so if one of those guys can make the jump and a full year of McAvoy we could make up the difference.
Would also allow us to either have a lethal top 6 or a well balanced top 9. Our 3rd line was a dumpster fire last year |

So..... They're still blaming him for his lass going nuts and assaulting him?
I honestly can't believe that GMMB had him issue an apology after that |

Somebody on here last night suggested trading Komarov instead of JVR.
Morning, fellas. |

Yeah, that would be Kaptaan (or krapstaain if you prefer).
And yeah, that Price contract... No doubt he's worth it now, but when he's 37....? - lumlums

Can your buddy confirm? |
