Gotta remember, Lou wanted both Thorton and Marleau, that tells you right there what the leafs are doing, short term deals within a 2 year span to go for it.

But i am sure if JT ever became available, leafs will submit their offer no problem. Gotta understand that when we acquire players, we can easily dish out players for assets, which increases our rebuilding process as well.

I dont think its rebuild for the Kings. I think its just figuring out the proper retooling while you still have time. Kings still have a good 5 years while still having value in some of theyre players to trade to do rebuilding then. But who knows how it works out.

These days, rookies are going right out of ELCs into big money. No more bridge deals. You almost have to go for it. Its your best opportunity. As with EDM.

Esa Lindell would be an underrated catch, if you could get him out of DAL. But I think he's solidified his spot on the blueline now. If Honka struggles out of the gate, perhaps he could be had.

I dont even want to think about it. But I think in the next 5 to 6 years if things aren't better we really gotta consider it. Maybe sooner if things go really bad. Here's to hoping things do get better.

Who said retooling was moving Brown or Gabby? Its more about the depth guys that they bring in. And getting better play from those contracts and Kopi. Gabby will be bought out next almost for certain. They have a few kids who can score. But Sutter didn't really give them much of a chance. Retooling is also seeing how Stevens uses his roster and getting them to be more creative.

Burmistrov and Weirdcoc* could be moved for mid picks at TDL, given they have good seasons. MDZ can play next year, then moved the TDL after that. Gagner is probably here for 2 years + then can be moved. No long term commitments. Thats what JB is doing. Its not hard to figure out. We are rebuilding. But when u lose players, u need to plug holes.
