I don't think we do, unless he wants to take a discount. My guess is that he's either moved at the deadline or he walks. Don't like assets moving for nothing, but he essentially becomes our rental, costing us nothing, if you look at it that way.

Could also see him moved if there's a deal out there, but I think they've been shopping him for a while; easier to move a Komarov with ~1M less cap hit.

Left side is light, but we do have Rychel and Leivo, particularly Leivo that would probably put up decent numbers in a sheltered scoring role with Bozak and Marner.

Contracts are relative to the team that's giving it. Obviously the leafs really wanted Marleau whether its to replace jvr so they can trade him for a d or just for a winger to mentor the young kids they paid the price it cost to get him to leave san jose. Did they over pay yes but I'd you have the cap space then it doesn't matter.

They are still mad that Tanev didn't get them the 3rd overall pick. Priceless.

Problem is the Leafs have to be 0$ over the cap by the last day of training camp.

They can't put Horton or Lupul on LTIR until rosters are set.

If the leafs had another shut do dman I'd love to have barrie. I think if they had really good defensive dman the next thing they would need is an elite offensive dman but I think the need for a defensive dman out ways that at this point so id rather a good defensive dman.

Barrie is a high risk high reward type dman. .I think we have to many of those! Imho,just a nice clear the franking net possession type hopefully that plays with an edge! ..p.s. wouldn't happen to know of any would you?
