Congrats on your Stanley Cups and that great Marleau trade. The Yotes never saw it coming. - golfingsince
We should probably get started on planning that parade route now. Want to help?
Hmm. I tried google searching for fake leaf parade routes but for some reason in the images section all I got was a bunch of pictures from the gay pride parade. |

That was a problem the last time the Leafs were relative, i'll give ya that. - golfingsince
Touche.
It is better to have been relative and lost than to never have been relative at all.

Quick question and be honest. Would you trade the entire canucks organization for the leafs organization right now 1 for 1. |

Maybe you could have said recapture doesn't exist anymore, but you probably just found out which makes you even dumber than you pretend to be. - golfingsince
Dude, this is all hypothetically speaking that he can't play well in the third year.
He's been far from declining the past three seasons
2015-19 goals
2016-25 goals
2017-27 goals
Upward trend......
And absolute worst case he can't play hockey the third year...there will be teams that are far from the cap ceiling...there is every year.
Said team would be more than happy in taking a 2nd or 3rd round pick to pay only
1 million in actual dollars.
And would I trade a 2nd or 3rd round pick for two years of Marleau?
Abso (frank)ing lutly
I think this is a good move for the Leafs..and I'm more than pleased to have Matthews, Marner and Nylander setting him up for the next 3 years. And his experience will help greatly.
The contract is set up so he can retire in the last year...and if he dosnt and can still play then great. |

in the meantime ignore Matthews and marner. might cause you butt pain if you don't. - systemtool
His trolling sort of went a bit awry.
Then it just went completely off the plot.
2/10. Some effort given.

They are still mad that Tanev didn't get them the 3rd overall pick. Priceless. |

I thought that wasn't enough for Tanev. Didn't some on their boards say they wanted the 3rd OA and another player/prospect for Tanev? Pretty sure. |

Shot in the dark, but I'm thinking they move Komarov instead of JVR.
Makes sense: I love Komogod, but Hyman can fill that role for cheaper and I'm sorry, but this is arguably one the best forward groups in the NHL:
Marleau Matthews Nylander
Hyman Kadri Brown
JVR Bozak Marner
Martin Moore Kapanen

Not sure about the term, but if it takes Hyman off the 1st line, it's a win! |

Fack it's fun being a leafs fan these days. Sign a 38 year old to a 3 year 18m contract and you can still be confident that its probably a smart move. - HealthyScratch6

I love 47 but I agree with this. The problem is how would we sign JVR after this year. |

I could see JVR for Barrie with extra pieces in that deal.
And then to clear space a Fehr trade with LV
maybe even Lupul.... |
