Tavares isn't a franchise center?
He's one of the 10 best players in hockey
Watch an actual Islanders game sometime
He get very little help from his teammates & he's still awesome

Watching the Isles can be rough,
but it's worth it to see Tavares play
Idk what fancy stats are telling u he's not great,
but he is

He actually never really gets credit for his defense
But he should be in Selke talk imo

I actually haven't looked at a single fancy stat about him. I'm basing it mostly on his play the last two seasons and his teams success (or lack thereof)
