he's a good player but i don't see him controlling the play like a 1c does, he's a good winger that should benefit from playing with someone like Drouin who has a better vision.

Isn't Drouin also a winger?

and he becomes ufa next summer

who will be the nyi 1C after that?

- Symba007

Well, they're at risk of him walking for nothing and I feel we're overpaying in that deal to get it done. Pacioretty will also be a UFA the summer after that. NYI aren't really competitive right now anyway, so essentially I'm saying they use the assets to rebuild. Regarding the fact Tavares will be a UFA, Plekanec will be off the books, so I don't mind paying 7.5-8M for a real (frank)ing 1rst line center.

Quick question on this issue, does either Shipachev or Dadonov change the conversation we are currently having for you guys? Because they were available...

once again the gm was sleeping. could have had a center, maybe not a #1 but a decent #2 without giving assets.

I can't see Tavares getting less than +/-10M next year on the market (if he goes UFA)

Habs should trade Pacs next summer and go all in on Tavares but only if they can sign Radu, which I think they will

Maybe Bergevin and his staff thought they were Sekacs, how can we know with certainty they would have been upgrades? Bergevin had no qualms with paying the risky looking Radulov last summer.

he's making 4.5M for 2yrs, I am sure most teams didn't see him as a 1c

But wouldn't Hudon qualify as an equally interesting option in regards to a legitimate 2C?

For this reason, Dadonov interested me little. But I think Shipachev could have been an acceptable 1C with the right wingers (Pacs-Rads)...

Hudon is a 3rd liner.
guys who hated DD won't like Hudon, he had worst numbers than DD both in the LHJMQ and the AHL.

If they acquired him they would be the only ones able to offer 8 years and maybe he'd be willing to take a discount to be competitive. I'd certainly want to feel out Tavares's opinion of Montreal before I'd make that trade and maybe even make it contingent upon a verbally agreed extension.

We'll like him if he has better numbers than DD in the NHL.

Think Hudon might have been used as a winger this season in the AHL. Practically all projections I've seen for him put him there too.

That Alzner signing at 4.5 is pretty good.

Now find a way to sign Radulov and Markov back! YOU GOT THIS BERGEFAIL!

Cap Space 13.888 left to sign Radulov, Markov and Galchenyuk. The numbers don't add up if Radulov wants 6/7 millions, Markov 6 millions and Galchenyuk wants a raise.
