... and after buying out Girardi, originally only having Kampher, but now as a call up only.
However, the question is who sits out in some or most games if Deangelo is on the roster, & if so, will one get traded, i.e., among Staal or Holden?
McD - Shatty
Skjei - Smith
Staal/Holden - Holden/Deangelo

AHL could be:

Graves - Pionk
Day - Pedrie
Gilmour - Zibrovsky

Plus Berzgalov and Kampfer are signed.

Rangers went from no almost no d prospects to what could be a solid 4-6, depending how this year goes.

I think Hartford is a major focus for Gorton. That makes me happy.

Draisaitl means you lose Skjei and that's not debatable.
- eichiefs9

Staal aint playin in the 5-6 for 5.5 mill.. no way
something gonna happen cause you have to have a top center to complete the
upgrade from last season... best back 6 with depth and depending on who is the new center the next centerpiece to our P O run next season...

You know Hank is gonna be in front of a top team like the last 3 with A V

So Pens signed Justin Schultz to a deal worth 5.5 million per year. Makes me like Shatty's deal more

So coincidental his 4 years and salary is very close to stepans?
Its almost like he exchanged a top 6 C for a top 4 D

... and Shatty's contract will expire when Hank's does after the same season.

I'm more wondering if he's in the future plans with this team. Being the next one to go in the rebuild on the fly thing. Maybe after 17-18 season

Lotsa miles and it's obvious they aren't afraid to cut ties with the current core that's been here

And you gotta figure Nash will go too, Staal all but gone with that buyout next year

Emelin being traded from Vegas to Nashville? Wonder if they are adding D so they can trade one of their current D to get Duchene

U should read back a few pages. Are u Tom and Dundees kid?
- nyrangers9479

I recall on many of Jan's blogs since their postseason had ended, with you saying in key, but not the exact words, that "Shatty is a disaster defensively", and "I want no part of Shatty", and the like.
See replies by Jim, I & others to those related of your's as well. All you wanted here was DUMBA...DUMBA...DUMBA.
That's what led you to say MUCH LATER ON, and only "a few pages back", after being convinced by Jan, Jim, I, and some others here, that it was the possible long 7 year term you THEN didn't like about him.
But all of your earlier posts were always in words as if Shatty for his entire career, were the second coming of the ROMAN HAMRLIK during only his very brief stay as a Ranger under Tortorella.

I think McD is different though. He's special. He's truly elite.

A lot of athletes say this type of thing, but it's clear he's being completely truthful about it. It's been a rumor for years now, and it's finally true!
- Slimtj100

Shatty's being truthful after turning down higher "substantial" offers from other teams out there (as reported), including the not that far located distance away, N.J. Devils, rumored to be 7 years at $7M per season.
For accepting much less overall money, Shatty even said on an earlier live NHL Network extended interview today, in key, but not the exact words, that he "always wanted to be a Ranger since a KID, & he also "owed it to the ones who helped him to get in the NHL, and now they will be at MSG to watch him play". After the interview, Kevin Weekes said that he loved those particular spoken words.
So there was no way he likely heavily considered signing in chief for the Devils instead.
