Gorton is going to do Miller + in a trade and get Duchene. Gorton is a jedi master - mdw7413
Which top young d'man will Sakic demand in return in part for Duchene? He already turned down Hamonic plus much more from the Islanders. Also, it was reported that many GM's were unhappy with his tactics used in trade discussions.
Yeah he did. He likes it because of the 4 years. In his and mrn's defense they didn't want to sign him because they figured it would be a much longer term. - mdw7413
I'll admit was way against the idea but you cant complain about a 4 year deal under 7
The Shatty deal is a win, win. The Rangers get a top RH dmam, at a very manageable contract. He gets to play for the team he always wanted to play for.

What Gorton just did with Shattenkirk, I have all the faith in the world he will bring in a center and it won't hurt the team. Obviously I was being tongue in cheek about Duchene, but there is no way they are going into the season with the only 2 NHL centers as Zib & Hayes

... and after buying out Girardi, originally only having Kampher, but now as a call up only.
However, the question is who sits out in some or most games if Deangelo is on the roster, & if so, will one get traded, i.e., among Staal or Holden?
McD - Shatty
Skjei - Smith
Staal/Holden - Holden/Deangelo
