really they were onnthe hook for stepan 4 more years $6.5m so i cant see a big deal if its the 4 years he is weighing out. I give him 5 years @ $6m per if thats the case.

Why? What's left for free to keep them contending under Hank, without trading to create holes elsewhere in the PRO roster. If Shatty is for certain looking like a Devil, there is a need to break up more here. If Brian Leetch could be dealt at one time to do so, then anyone else can be today, including those who can be asked to waive their NMC's.
