Isn't our goal to make it to the playoffs?

Just say no to Miller.

- Powerslave

Agreed. He made Lack and Markstrom look good.

Add Jussi then as well. He's a specialist.
- JVince11

Vanek at 2-3 would be worth it to me. Another 10-15 goals. Unlike JP he won't help on the PK, though. But he'd also be cheaper. I just think Eichel needs a player that can tap in his passes. Only concern is he'd be too slow

Since bringing back Pominville my desire to bring back other former Sabres (Vanek, Miller) has decreased substantially. I don't want to bring back too many
- chilliard77

Vanek would be the only one I want now. Natural LW, cheap contract, nose for the net.

Botterill said they don't have to force issues in free agents. He will be looking for fits, so don't expect them to be chasing Shattenkirk.

Guy still looks up to rafters or looks around for a D-man for someone to blame after every goal so keep that out west.

That's what I said last week, being patient and looking for players that will fit into the plan, we didn't need to pay Shattenkirk 7 mill a year.

Added 5 Mil, but don't have to pay Foligno. You do the math from there.

latest update which is redundant: good interest in Bonino. Trying to rid of Gorges. Both independent of each other.
Someone asked about scouts getting fired, and all i was told is 'teams cleaning house and shaking things up'. So not much use there. very moot

I'd like a Bonino/Pommer 3rd line (insert LW). Keeps Sam (provided we keep Sam) up on top two

Rid of Gorges in a trade? I would have thought they would have just bought him out.

There is 0% chance of buying him out. Why cost us money next year for no reason at all?

If GMJB is looking for a guy who can score from behind the goal line, I think Jochen is available.

You save $2.6 million off the cap this year and don't pay a guy almost $4 million to be your 7th D in the press box. It's only $1.3 million next season. The cap will probably increase by at least that much adding Vegas.
