bottom line. nothing of value was given up for something of value, just like the beaulieu trade

hes made the roster considerably better without giving up jack poop.

I think the Kane for a D can be put to rest. If he is dealt it will be for draft picks or forward.

I've always liked Vanek, that wouldn't be a bad idea just no Stifford.

Your eyeballs are lying to you, Pommer can still skate, he kills penalties and he can man the point on the power play and he can be a solid leader in the locker room. this trade is a win for GMJB.

This was a fantastic trade. Clear and simple. And I agree that I would rather have Pomminville than Ennis
- lulags

(shrug) we got older and slower. Pommer is a known quantity, for better or worse. He is well past his best days but does have value. Ennis at least had the possibility of something more but he has no value if he doesn't score.

Marco Scandella. Wikipedia says he's canadian.

Thank god. I don't even want to get into it about the Italians.

I mean break it down like this, would you rather have:

Ennis (4.6M, 70 Points last 3 seasons) or Pomminville (5.6M, 137 Points last 3 seasons)

Foligno (~2.25M) or Scandella (4M)

McCabe was Housley's captain at the World Juniors. He isn't going anywhere.
- PassionBucket16

This seems like very good information that I was not aware of.

I am not saying Ennis or Foligno are good either.

Ok im out. Cant even give a compliment of a good trade getting scandella without it being nitpickep apart

I'm sorry, people can be rude. For instance has anyone formally thanked you for ROR? If not, Thank you!!! I can't wait for him to pick up right where he left off in the IIHF Championships. Your team and GM have been very cordial to the Sabres. Thanks!

True. Ennis had the potential to put it all back together, but that's a gamble. If he had done it again last year I'd be more upset, but 13 points in 51 games just doesn't do it for a guy who can't play defense or PK.

Buying out Gorges would basically make all the salaries a wash. I expect that to happen.

Ennis had 13 points last year
Pminville 41.

He put up 5V5 points at the same rate as Phil Kessel......

I wouldn't. Pominville is garbage. Happy about scandella though. And yes, we had the take jp and his stupid contract. I'd take leino over pominville.
- Khmylev

Not into analytics, eh?

Pominville had same even-str. point total (40) as Kessel, Monahan, Marner despite low S% (7.4) & depth role. Scandella big upgrade. #Sabres

We'll see. I would think he'd have to be on Waivers now, correct? I haven't seen anything about that.

The Wild are banking on Ennis going back to his old form I guess. Good luck to him. I guess Ennis knew something when he was set to be a roomy with Justin Bailey but backed out because he didn't feel like he was going to be here long.

The important question is, does McCabe have to give up #29 for Pommer?

Sure, but I'm not shot in the arse with either of them. I still think Ennis had a chance of putting it together again (as does Bogosian)

Exactly. Although I liked GMTM, I feel like he would have given up a 1st or Nylander by now to improve the defense. He might have gotten someone better, but this way we are improved and haven't given up the farm.
